"The XMS TWINX2048-4000PT ran smoothly at its rated speed and managed to gain a little overclock without much effort. At the present time, it appears that there is not much to be gained from having this much RAM in a system. The rate at which game manufactures add technology to their newest releases, the time when 2GB of RAM will be considered the norm is not that far off. The Corsair XMS TWINX2048-4000PT is top-notch RAM and if you decide that you can't live with "only" 1GB of RAM in your system, this is the choice for you."
"The modules are reasonably priced and perform to a very high standard.. Nevertheless, the hardcore enthusiasts who like to drain every little bit out of their system are usually drawn to more powerful (and considerably more expensive) products. They are sure to satisfy the users they are aimed at however."
"With respect to speed, the 4000PT were quite stable at 250Mhz (DDR500) and showed some improvements to frame rate and most significantly in overall frame rate during game play. One simply cannot go wrong with the 4000PT from Corsair."
"While not as versatile as some other kits, notably the Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO, the TWINX2048-4000PT showed itself to be a damn fine kit. Though I was a tad disappointed initially to not be able to run CAS 2 (the best I could get was 2.5), I was mightily impressed all during my testing as this kit hit DDR484 at CAS 2.5, and DDR560 at CAS 3....well beyond its rated speed of DDR500. While the TWINX2048-4000PT is not a kit I'd recommend for those who do not overclock, I think it should definitely be on the short list of those who want to get every ounce of performance out of their system without the aid of a memory divider or insane voltages."
"The memory is very affordable at around $250 and overclocks nicely without requiring high voltage, making these modules very appealing. Pairing these with a good clocking 10x multiplier CPU and you will start fragging with a good 2.6GHz-2.7GHz system."
