"The CM Storm Scout 2 isn't loaded with features, but it has a lot of things that are necessary for a case in this market space."
"Taking into considering everything this case offers for the gamer, extra long video card support, carrying handle, and lighting effects it receives the "Gaming Approved" award. Looking at the case overall with the build quality, cooling options, USB 3.0 support, pricing and ease of installation the Scout 2 also receives the "High Recommended" award."
"Its a solid all rounder then from the CM Storm and one that I think is definitely going to prove popular with the gaming crowd, but even if you’re not a gamer, this is still a great chassis and it has a good selection of features, it’s not the really the cheapest chassis of this size, but your extra money gets you a lot of build quality, reliability, style and of course a very convenient carry handle. I really like this chassis and thankfully the minor issues with fans are easy to look past and resolve, all I know is I would be more than happy to use this chassis day to day, which is why I am award this chassis our Editors Choice Award."
"As it is, we can only recommend the Scout II if you use liquid cooling or plan on replacing the fans with better ones. That means that you're better off getting the entry-level model instead of the Advanced, as it will save you a little bit of money. If you don't care as much about looks, another option is the older CM 690 II. It's slightly less expensive, slightly louder, but cools much better."
"We really like this case but it just needs to have a little more to justify the price tag."
