Enthusiast PSU Roundup - Tech Report
Weeks of testing hasn't been kind to this lot, but it's given Corsair's HX 620W, PC Power & Cooling's Silencer 750W, Antec's Neo HE 550W, and Seasonic's S12II 500W the opportunity to set themselves apart.

1000W PSU Roundup - X-bit labs
"The all-around winner of today’s tests is the PSU from Cooler Master that boasts superb parameters together with very quiet operation. Being a good product overall, the Topower model is not as good as the Real Power Pro in its noise characteristics as well as in electrical parameters. Particularly, the TOP-1000P9 does not meet the requirements of the output voltage ripple standard."

What They Say:

"The Real Pro Power 750w power supply provides excellent features for today's systems. Some with older systems requiring a number of peripheral 4-pin (molex) connectors may have to pick up additional splitters to run all of their peripherals and those with a 20-pin motherboard will not be able to use this power supply. However, these are minor misgivings particularly for the requirements of newer systems."

"On paper, it certainly sounds fantastic courtesy of its six 12 Volt rails, while also offering connectivity aplenty and a very neat and good-looking design - If nothing else, Kudos should go to Cooler Master for making the Real Power M1000 a more reasonably proportioned PSU, as it measures up to be a fair bit shorter than Thermaltake's equivalent offering, giving you more room to play with when cabling everything up in your average chassis. Beyond that however, it unfortunately doesn't manage to move out of the Toughpower's shadow, offering less in the way of PCI Express power connectivity (although to be fare it is still ample for current uses), no hard power switch at the rear of the PSU, and despite all those aforementioned +12V rails, it can't quite keep the same stable power output during our testing processes."

"A terrific choice for enthusiasts whose machines crave every ounce of juice they can get."

"There are no two ways about it, the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750w was a good performer with great DC output quality, and though there were some reservations about its build quality, nothing today indicates it is anything but a good unit. While outclassed by some of the more expensive products at this output level the Real Power Pro 750w is a PSU users should consider as long as they are not looking for a whisper quiet unit."
Even though this power supply delivers what the manufacturer promises, it may explode if you keep pulling 1,000 W from it continuously. Because of that we think the manufacturer should have configured over power protection (OPP) at a lower level, in order to prevent this from happening. The side effect is that you couldn’t peak 1,000 W with it, but at least you would have a safer product. That is the only reason we are not giving it our Golden Award seal, but our Silver Award. But don’t get us wrong: this is a very good product that provides a terrific cost/benefit ratio for users looking for a very high-end power supply.
