"Based on the product alone, CM Storm Sonuz delivers more than most other headsets on the market. However, when the sale price is taken into consideration it's not easy to justify the extra cost. Large 53mm drivers are rare on headphones/headsets, just as much as a detachable boom microphone, so if these are features that consumers value then the price is within reasonable reach. Obviously there are dozens of options also available if you're willing to sacrifice sound quality, which cost less."
"Overall we liked the Sonuz headset – sure we weren’t a massive fan of the aesthetics and the sound quality wasn’t the best we’ve heard, but for the price you are getting a pretty decent all-rounder headset. It’ll take a bit of tweaking to get the sound right for film and music, but overall it’s comfy and is more than adequate for most gamer. We don’t quite feel like it’s award-worthy, it’s very close to the budget award, but with a little better performance in the audio department and it’d walk out clutching the award. Don’t let this put it down though, it’s still a great headset and shouldn’t be overlooked."
"Crazy stuff for this quality headset, I loved it, and I’m used to a very expensive £150 gaming headset."
"A brilliant lightweight stereo headset that offers impressive sound quality at a good price."
"Don’t let the size of the headset fool you, while it is large it is also light weight and unintrusive while wearing it. Performance of the Cooler Master Sonuz is very good. All frequencies are very well represented. Using a tone generator, I was able to cleanly reproduce down to 60 Hz. Typically small drivers have issues with clean reproduction of bass. Highs and the mid-range are outstanding with the Sonuz and extremely crisp and clean. Vocal ranges are easily distinguished and not muddled with the music. During gaming sound was represented very well. This is a 2.0 headset, which means it is stereo or two channels. There isn’t any multichannel audio on the Cooler Master Sonuz. Microphone performance was just as good. A few calls with Skype and I could be clearly heard and understood. Cooler Master has done an outstanding job bringing the Sonuz to market and would be a welcome addition to any gaming rig, or strictly used for music."
