"Until that can be determined I feel I can only recommend the V8 GTS to those that truly enjoy the “engine” look, and would appreciate the lower noise from the twin 140mm fans – not to mention, the V8 GTS will still keep your CPU cool. I don’t think the target demographic would be disappointed with the V8 GTS because it seems obvious to me you don’t buy a CPU cooler like this for practicality; in that sense the V8 GTS delivers. If all you want is a product that gives you the best performance for the price there are better options."
"In the end the V8 GTS may not be perfect and it certainly isn’t right for everyone, but this is easily the best and most innovative CPU heatsinks Cooler Master has ever created. With that being said, a $100 asking price will ensure only true enthusiasts can actually afford it."
"At an MSRP of $89.99 I am very happy with the quality of this air cooler. I praise the engineers who designed this. I can tell that they have a lot of pride in their work. I do have one con that I have to state. This is very difficult to install on a motherboard that is inside a case. It is really easy to drop a bolt and have it roll under the motherboard. Regardless of that, the performance outweighs any cons that I could tell you. Once this is installed, it is a beast and a force to be reckoned with. Good job Cooler Master! Thank you for pushing air cooling into an entire new genre!"
"Like its predecessor, the V8 GTS is designed to offer maximum cooling efficiency while sporting a stylish new design."
"Don't get me wrong here though: the V8 GTS does cool quite well and you won't have any trouble keeping your CPU cool should you decide that you want one. Just keep in mind that for $100 you can very nearly buy a self-contained water cooler that will outperform it in nearly every way. I really wanted the vapor chamber combined with eight heatpipes, triple towers, and dual 140mm fans to succeed, but it's impossible to ignore the lofty price tag and unspectacular cooling."
