"In the end, if you have the money to spend, there are better headsets, but if you are on a budget, you won’t go wrong with the CM Storm Pulse-R Aluminum Gaming Headset."
"I would personally buy this headset on style alone, I would also buy it just based on its performance and even just on the overall build quality, but since it delivers all three together, I’m sold. More than worthy of our prestigious Gamers Choice Award."
"For the price range, this is a very impressive headset. There are a few cons though. As great as these are, I really do wish that they were wireless. Also, I wish that you could fine tune the volume a little more. The slider only has about a quarter-inch of play so you have to be very slow to dial in the exact volume that you want. That being said, this truly is a great buy. The packing is great, it comes in a hard-shell case, and is very well built. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow gamers and I praise Cooler Master for engineering such a great headset and making it available for such a reasonable price. Kudos to you CM!!"
"Featuring aluminum plating, modular cabling, and a detachable microphone, this product emphasizes portability and durability."
"Perception of audio is certainly a subjective matter. In our opinion bass is way too present compared to mids and heights. Despite the lack of virtual surround sound, we can say that the Pulse-R offers good sound quality, once the overpronounced bass got adjusted by an equalizer. The default setting only makes sense if you solely play games or watch movies. The earpads that surround the 42 millimeter drivers are comfortable if you don't wear glasses or 3D goggles. The microphone works well, is completely detachable and even flexible. What's also practical is the integrated noise cancelling, which works really well."
