THE GOOD: 1) broken sticks fun to play with during movies 2) buggy drivers creates fun "which program locks up fastest" gamesTHE BAD: 1) d-pad makes index finger hurt 2) price ($18) not low enough, they should be paying me to buy this SUMMARY: This is the biggest pile smelly maneuer I have ever had to deal with. It's like pooping on the floor then trying to plug your doo into the USB port. |

THE GOOD: This controler ROCKS! I really don't understand the problems other people had with theirs. My PC feels like a console. For me, that's saying a lot!THE BAD: The only problem I've found is that the feedback option did not work for my two feedback enabled games: LOTR Return of the King and Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles. Maybe there is a patch or some option I need to change. SUMMARY: I have an an AMD Athlon 1.8 GHZ cpu, 768 MB of RAM and an ATI 9200 video card and the controler works great. For a video game night with some buddies, I had some guys on my TV playing Gamecube and X-Box and I had my PC running with LOTR Return of the King in co-op mode and with the AxisPad it played better than the console! I have this and a Gamepad controler which is good but does not have the analog controls.
I just picked up Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles (another great co-op game for the PC) and the AxisPad works great. Infact, I'm looking for another one for our next game night.
I did have some problems with my Indiana Jones PC game, but I went to the game's website and saw that there was a patch for game controller issues so I beleive this is a problem with the game and not the controller.
Since I see it works for Need for Speed Underground, I'm on it! : )
I really don't understand the problems others have had. After I installed the CD with the pad it worked great!
I also had no problems with calibrating the controls. Mostly I just use the default calibration.
I highly recommend this gamepad for console styled games especially co-op games.
Overall I'm very pleased with the controller. Infact I'm looking for another. |

THE GOOD: Great for PS Emulators POV is switchable with X/Y AxisTHE BAD: Not directly remappable SUMMARY: All in all, i think this is one of the better controllers out there. got it at wal-mart for 15 bucks and havent been sorry. works great with all my games, and the axiss will automatically center when the drivers are initialized (like most consoles). i bought this to replace a failing gravis pad. |

THE GOOD: Looks snazzy, kinda (cords are melted in a couple spots... most odd...)THE BAD: it kinda doesn't do much for me.... SUMMARY: I went to install drivers,, CD doesn't work!! (literally, I bought 2 controllers, and the aluminum layer on both cd's was put onto the disk wrong (all wrinkly,,) making the unreadable! I plug in, XP recognizes as generic controller, but I get no force feedback or keymappings, etc. found supposably cruddy drivers on the net, but windows won't use now,, whenever i plug it in, it goes straight to it's built in drivers :S
Is is really that hard to write decent drivers for something so simple and monitoring the position on 2 sticks, some buttons, and turing 2 motors on and off????

THE GOOD: It looks and feels niceTHE BAD: No way to calibrate SUMMARY: Once I installed the drivers that came with it (i guess that was a mistake according to the other reviews here) i couldn't couldn't calibrate it. Vibration did not work in any games, although it did in the test, and could not roll back to the built in drivers XP had no matter what. it upset me greatly since this controller looks and feels so great, and was pretty cheap, but i returned it since it is completely useless without the ability to calibrate it. |

THE GOOD: Feels like heaven and you can never complain with anything that is blueTHE BAD: Maybe its just me but when might right analog stick takes on its own sence of direction i have some problems with that SUMMARY: Since the day I bought it I've had the same problem, every game I play the right analog stick has taken on its own personality, UP goes left down goes right and vice versa. I've tried 3 different drivers I've tried 5 different games same thing every time. Maybe the interact people had a beer party during the designing process |

AxisPadFX | 3.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: It looks and feels nice. It's easy to install. At $18, it's very cheap.THE BAD: It's name is pretty stupid. SUMMARY: I bought this game about 2 days ago. I installed it and tried two games with it. Those games were WWE RAW and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The controller worked with neither of them. Can anyone please tell me what games are compatible with with AxisPadFX? |

THE GOOD: So comfortable, you can hold in your hands for hours. The buttons don't make your thumbs tired. VERY HIGH QUALITY materials. Very responsive controls during gameplay.THE BAD: The D pad is a little hard to use in the diagonal directions, but it doesn't matter since most games use the superior analog sticks. SUMMARY: If you guys are looking for a great gamepad for the PC, look no further than the AxisPad found at Wal-Mart for about $17. It has dual analog sticks, two pairs of L+R buttons, four action buttons on the front, and start / select buttons for 10 buttons total. And it has a directional pad. What else could anyone ask for?
I've played Crazy Taxi 3 and Virtua Tennis with the controller and everything feels just like a console, but with better graphics! The analog sticks have perfect accuracy and I like how responsive all of the buttons feel. I also hate controllers that have loose analog sticks. The sticks on this controller are very tight and go right back to their upright postions when you let go. I also like how they are made of a rubber material so they grip your thumbs but are soft at the same time. This is the only PC gamepad that feels completely comfortable in my hands.
This is also the first controller I've owned that has absolutely no compatibility problems. It is detected automatically by WinXP and I can configure it within each game I play. I never fool with the "profiles" for games because who needs that with every game these days has a configuration window for a joystick?
I've heard some complaints about compatiblity, but these people mention that they are running Win95/98. If you are running Windows XP, you will have no problems.
So please, ignore all of these bad reviews. I don't understand why anyone would have complaints. This is controller is better than any console controller I've used. Try it out and see for yourself. |
