About the Product

The Maximus III GENE is a ATX mainboard that is made to support socket 1156 (Core i5 and i7) CPUs. It is based on the Intel P55 Express chipset and features 1 PCI 2.2, 1 PCI-E 2.0 x4, 2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, and 4 DDR3-2133 DIMM sockets. Rear panel I/O ports include: 9 USB 2.0/1.1, 1 IEEE 1394a, 1 RJ-45, 1 eSATA, 1 S/PDIF optical out, 8-channel HD audio jacks, and 1 Clr CMOS switch.
