The X58 Extreme is a ATX mainboard that is made to support socket 1366 (Core i7) CPUs with 6400 MT/s QuickPath system bus. It is based on the Intel X58 chipset and features 2 PCI, 2 PCI x1, 3 PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, and 6 DDR3-2000 DIMM sockets. Rear panel I/O ports include: 1 coaxial SPDIF out, 1 optical SPDIF out, 7 USB 2.0/1.1, 1 IEEE 1394, 1 RJ-45, 1 eSATA, and 7.1-channel HD audio jacks.
