The P55 Extreme is a ATX mainboard that is made to support socket 1156 (Core i5 and i7) CPUs. It is based on the Intel P55 chipset and features 3 PCI, 1 PCI-E 2.0 x1, 3 PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, and 4 DDR3-1600 DIMM sockets. Rear panel I/O ports include: 7 USB 2.0/1.1, 1 IEEE 1394a, 1 RJ-45, 1 coaxial SPDIF out, 1 optical SPDIF Out Port, 7.1-channel HD audio jacks, and 1 Clr CMOS switch.
