"The Arctic Accelero Hybrid 7970 has great cooling and acoustic performance in a small and convenient form factor. Yet it is let down by its cheap look and feel, the shoddy quality of some of the mounting hardware, a total lack of attention to detail with the presentation and worst of all its ridiculously high price tag. While I cannot personally recommend it because of the previously mentioned points, I can see that some end users may find this product suits their needs if they are space constrained, need extreme cooling and have quite a large budget. Let’s hope more cooling companies and graphics card vendors try their hand at making this type of VGA cooling solution to force the prices down and the quality up."
"Performance is at a very high level and therefore the cooler managed to keep our HD 7970's GPU as cool as 58°C under FurMark's Burn test with 30 % fan speed which is even more impressive when you consider that other coolers failed this test. With fans at 100 %, the GPU was at 48°C with the Accelero Hybrid., other coolers were capable of only 60°C. So with the Accelero Hybrid no need to worry about noise level under gaming experience with only 52°C max while driving the fans at 30 % (almost noiseless). Compared to other coolers that's awesome as to reach max 52°C you have to drive them at 100 % wich in case of the AMD Stock cooler is like having an airplane taking off just next to you. Also VRM temps are really good, they stay around 55°C in load."
"Aftermarket coolers are the way to go when looking to cut down on noise and heat, and push overclocks further. ARCTIC has designed a universal cooling kit that requires some assembly, but takes out the fear of water cooling for beginners. The kit is easy enough to get installed with care – anyone who has had a graphics card taken apart multiple times or likes gluing models together should do fine with assembly. Carefully read the instructions and wait to tighten the back-plate screws until you get all four in. To get the power cables to fit, I had to undo a washer to loosen the hoses. Once installed, however, everything worked properly. The fans operated very quietly and the lowered temperatures allowed for a safer experience, especially when overclocking!"
