"Even though not being able to use tower style coolers in this case may be a big turn off for many enthusiasts, I would still like to award this case AlienBabelTech’s Innovation award, because that is what Antec has done with this case. They have dared to be different and “Think Beyond the BOX”."
"This is a difficult case to recommend for a few reasons. The first one is that since the case is completely open, dust and other electronic harming elements will be able to get into contact with the components without going through any extra layers (like a fan mesh on most good cases). This is a very bad thing. How about if a paper clip or some other metallic object falls on some leads? On the plus side, a shot of compressed air will take of the grime getting on the components. While Antec might be targeting the power user crowd, it looks more like someone looking for a test bed would be interested in this. Even for this niche, the case has some flaws. The fact that the case is extremely rigid once built is a complete turn-off. Once all the cables are hooked up to the motherboard and drives, the tray will not slide out. If it does, some of the headers will get ripped off. The way the power supply cabling must be routed is a bit awkward, but necessary since the case space is limiting. The good points about the case are the looks. The fan with its lighted modes is very nice to watch. Yes, it will be a hit at a lan party, but don't consider it for a normal build. Most people should walk away, but if you want to really show off your computer, this is the case is for you."
"The case's unique design may make you think that Antec was going more for form over function, but they have really spent their time designing a great looking case that is very easy to use. The removable component tray makes installing hardware easier than ever before. Being able to essentially remove the inner workings of the case is a huge aide when swapping out components."
"As a result of its drawbacks, theres a very small market for this product. Any enthusiast or overclocker will be instantly turned off by the fact that the motherboard tray cannot be fully reinserted with a tower cooler. Most people wont want to leave the tray hanging out in a permanent setup. Additionally, most users will find the lack of protection unsuitable for the environment they live or work in. The Antec Skeleton is a hugely innovative product that really could have been great with a little more thought put into the design process. The concept is unique and with a simple redesign to accommodate larger graphics cards and coolers most of our concerns with the product would be eradicated. As expected from Antec, the build quality is top class and it really is a shame that they didnt execute the design a little better."
"In the end, Antec has done something impressive here. Though the Antec Skeleton receives cautious praise from us, it shows that some companies still have the guts to put out an experimental product for a niche crowd. The Antec Skeleton is an updated and innovative entry into the minute market of open air cases. It suits a purpose, and looks like nothing else out there while doing so."
