About the Product

This AMD Athlon XP processor with QuantiSpeed architecture is based on the Barton core of 0.13 micron processors. The Athlon XP 2500+ operates at a frequency of 1.86Ghz. The processor features 512KB on-chip L2 and 128KB L1 cache, 2.7GB/s memory bandwidth, supports DDR memory, and is meant to be compatible with Socket A motherboards.

"The Barton initially didn't impress me when compared to the Thoroughbred clocked at the same speed. But after playing with the CPU, and seeing what it was capable of, it surely impressed me."
