About the Product

The Asus A7N266 supports Althon/Duron (550Mhz ~ 1.4GHz) processors. The chipset for this mainboard is the nForce 420 chipset. It has a FSB of 200/266MHz, a 128K L1, and a 256K/64K L2. This mainbaord incorporated the Twin Bank Architecture along with the support for 64/128 bits DDR memory to achieve a 4.2GB bandwidth. The motherboard also includes five PCI slots, one AGP Pro/4x slot, one ACR slot and an embedded GeForce 2 MX-class GPU. It also supports UATA 100/66/33 for IDE/ATAPI devices.

"Briefly, I was expecting much from nFORCE. Twinbank, Hypertransport and D.A.S.P have failed me. Especially I thought that D.A.S.P would perform better with Athlon XP."
