B's Gold Recorder Bundle

The good:

Not Much!

The bad:

Almost all!

Summary:

Had numerous problems getting drive to install. Then software would not operate properly. SONY was a little help,VERY LITTLE! I had to trash about 40 CD's before I realized Everthing affects this Drive! I constantly have to reinstall the software and drivers that I found on the net! What a piece of SHIT! Makes a great DOORSTOP!!! I will never buy sony again,EVER!!!!

Nice CD-RW drive

The good:

Fast, quiet, reliable! Burns a full cd in about 8 minutes.

The bad:

If only it supported burn-proof for when I had it on my crappy Pentium 233-MMX and DMA33...

Summary:

I got it almost when it first came out for $180 after rebates. Now I regret that with the 16x ones out for $90...But its still a great CD burner for my Duron system. Processor keeps changing as I keep burning em out but I mean hey 1ghz on a 650 aircooled and a 150MHz bus sounds good wit a 750 chip right? Yeah, that's what I thought. You wish you had the skills

Excellent cdrw drive

The good:

DAO-RAW Modes with Diskjuggler and CloneCD, Fast burning speed and audio quality is very good

The bad:

Tray feels a bit flimsy compared to my LG

Summary:

Works with all my favorite burning software apart from RAW mode in CDRWIN 4.0
I actually like the Colour and VERY quite

Bow to sony!

The good:

Everything! reliability expecially

The bad:

Color doesnt match my case, has a little more tan in it.

Summary:

I can only give sony praise for making this drive. I just dont understand why it doesnt get any publicity. This drive is cheaper than the PleXtor 12x and is, in my opinion a lot more reliable. I have run through at least 200 cds with only 2 gliched. Thats 1 bad cd per hundred. Good luck finding another drive with that kind of burn-proof reliablility.
Snatch up these drives people, youll be glad you did.
