SUMMARY: As long as you find the right drivers, I would recomment third party, the camera works fine.
To make it work though you have to also download third party software, which isn't too bad either.
the image quality if pretty good, but not spectacular and out of this world. As with any cam, the area must be well lighted.
It also takes a lot of power from your USB port, so I suggest you use a HUB. It restarted my computer twice so far, even with a HUB when I started it up. You should look elsewhere first, this is an aging camera. But then again, it does that job.
