About the Product

AMD's 850Mhz Athlon chip is the third such chip to use the K75 core with 0.18micron fab process. The chips uses Pluto 2.5 clock division, which is "the codename" for a 2/5 clock divider (so the L2 off-die cache runs at ~ 340Mhz).

"With pricing expected to be around the $799.00 mark, the Athlon 850 does make for a better value than the Coppermine 800, but is still out of reach for most people. The release of the this chip is..."
