print meA bit of help for fighting the Raging Raven
Ok, it takes place in an eastern European tower, and the battle against this airborne boss can be quite lengthy. You'll need to find a position that offers cover and the opportunity to attack, so immediately head up to the very top of the stairwell. Don't venture out onto the walkway at the summit, instead wedge yourself into the left hand corner of the doorway. This way you'll be protected from the missiles fired at you, and you'll be able to duck out of cover to fire SAM missiles at Raven's support units. Take these out first (they fly circuits of the tower, so train your sights at one point from cover and let the support units fly into the point of your sight). After you've taken care of the support units, focus on Raven.
She'll often dodge rockets, so you might be better off with a heavy machine gun. Stay covered and pick her off little by little, then she'll shed her suit and you can quickly finish the fight for good downstairs.
print meA bit of help with crying wolf
If you go to the coms tower furthest away from your starting position, go up the stairs on to the second floor and go all the way round to where the platform is broken off. Use a sniper rifle to shoot Wolf, she should come in to sight every once in a while, if not shoot a few Frogs so you are on caution. But some Frogs might come up the ladder so put a few claymore mines down so you dont have to worry about who comes up that ladder.
print meA little bit of help with Crying Wolf
Each encounter with the B&B squad gets progressively trickier. Crying Wolf is particularly touch because the battle against her takes place over a large area, with many buildings and a constant stream of Haven Troopers to fight. Wolf prowls the snowy wastes, stopping every so often to survey the area. As with Raven, your best bet is high ground, so clamber up one of the towers, switch on your night vision (keep an eye on the battery - without it you're snowblind) and watch and wait. You'll hear her stalking in the snow beneath you. When she stops it's your chance to snipe her as she peeks out from her suit. Be careful though - if she sees you, her attack is devastating - throwing you from your spot into the Haven Troopers range. Four to five sniper rounds should do it.
print meA little bit of help with Screaming Mantis
First up you'll need to use your syringe to regain your senses, and once you're up and running get to the perimeter of the room where the sinister puppets are less troublesome. Ignore these, but keep an eye out for Screaming Mantis' scythes - dodge these and keep moving around the outside of the room; if Meryl is sent after you, use CQC to knock her cold. Use one of your assault rifles to attack Mantis and Sorrow, the two puppets Screaming Mantis is holding (fit a sight to your rifle if you haven't already) until she drops them, then pick the puppets up. Then use the Mantis puppet to posses Screaming Mantis, shaking the Sixaxis to drain all of her energy while she's under your control in order to finally defeat her!
print meAn easy way to find Laughing Octopus!

print meBeauty And The Beast preview
In Act 1, when in the underground hanger/cave, you can also use the Mk II to listen to the wounded PMC soldier's conversation. He will talk about the Beauty And The Beast group before you actually meet them.
Aswell as by just walking yourself in, but when you use MK II and it's stealth mode, you might not disturb the conversation, as it sometimes might happen when the other guy did notice you coming in, and then the conversation will be cancelled.
print meBypassing Gekkos

When you search a FROG soldier and touch her chest, sometime she will moan or say "You're pretty good at this".
print meGetting no damage easily in "Crying Wolf" boss battle
*you must use a sniper rifle for this to work*
when you start the fight look to your right and you'll see a 6-8 wheel military ATV. if you crawl under it you can watch for Crying Wolf to pop out of her shell and aim at you. that's when you snipe her. the frogs don't get close enough to shoot you very often, and if they do, they have to crouch first, so it gives you the advantage. if Crying Wolf doesn't come for a little while, crawl half way out so some of you is exposed. she'll howl if she's on her way. depending on your rifle, it may only take you 5-10 hits. and you won't take any damage!
print meHow to alternatley beat Liquid Ocelot on boss extreme
This is the tip I found when I finally got to Liquid Ocelot on the boss extreme mode and this tip also helps with people who are not good at mashing buttons and can't do numerous combos to beat him. I used a similar stratagey on lower difficulties but when I got to boss extreme it didnt work because he got more aggressive so I had to tweak my old way until I came up with this new way and here it is....
Phase 1: You start by immediatley blocking and trying to move in close to Liquid Ocelot to get him to start his 4 punch combo when he starts it move back slowly while still blocking as he throws his final elbow press up and R1 directly after he goes "ahhh" and you will get him in a CQC choke and punch once he gets up block immediatley block because he will most likely do his rush attack that will break your guard and take off minimal life but thats okay just reblock and try to get close to him again to him to restart the 4 punch combo again and repeat what I just stated above until you get to phase 2 now this may seem like it could take forever but trust me once you get the timing down it really doesn't take that long. Note: you can sometimes do extra punches while choking by pushing R1 or triangle, maybe its both in unison I'am not sure which but it does work to help take extra health off him everytime it does happen. It does work for all phases.
Phase 2: Start by moving in to him right away and get your free CQC as he pauses a few seconds between phases. Once he gets up he 95% of the time goes directly for the "take this" punch once he starts the animation dash either way and get him right back into another CQC. Occasionlly he trys to dash in and regular punch you thats okay just block and try to keep backing up around the sub top to bate him into another "take this" punch and just CQC him again until you get to phase 3.
Phase 3: Start like last phase getting your free CQC once he gets up he will say "take this" and try to do his own CQC on you. To counter this just throw your own CQC almost exactley when he tries to throw his and a brief animation will occur offsetting his CQC attempt and yours bring you back to regular fighting stances were he dashes in and out throwing normal punches and if he gets in to close he will do that retarted headbutt you can't seem to block but thats okay just reblock and keep trying to back up until you get about arms length away throw a CQC and somehow it gets him everytime but make sure its not to far away because snake will whiff at throwing the CQC. Also note he likes to switch back to his own CQC form just watch out for when he does and try to do what I stated above. Until stage 4
Phase 4: Its straight forward just keep pressing R1 until he dies.
This is just a stratagey for people who aren't particullary good at doing combos which involves mashing R1 pretty fast which I can't do all that great.
print meInfinite Drebin Points
First, acquire the drum can. You do this by finding the soldier that is hiding in the can, and using it as a bathroom. After that, go up ahead a few feet, where you will see three crates. When you have gone past them, you will see just two crates. You will also see about three rebel soldiers fighting. One is carrying an RPG and the other two have machine guns. They will die and respawn continuously. You will have a chance to pick up the RPG after the soldier has died three times. Do so because each RPG is worth 6,000 Drebin Points. The important thing is to stay anywhere behind the two crates, otherwise the trick will not work. Going further than the two crates will stop the respawning loop of the soldiers dying. The only way to get the RPG without breaking the respawning loop is to use the Mk II.
print meLiquid Ocelot kiss

print mePosing as statues
You can step up on statue pedestals, and press Triangle to assume various poses. With one of the statues, you will grab its crotch. Do this several times, and that part of the statue will break off.
print mePosing Beauties
After defeating any of the four Beauties, there is a second round where they walk towards you, trying to grab Snake. During this phase, run from them for three minutes, and the screen around you and the Beauty will turn white. Take out the digital camera you obtained from the mission briefings. The Beauty will stop chasing you and do sexy poses for your camera.
Play the "Oishii ChuhanSeikatsu" Japanese pop song on your iPod while fighting a Beauty. She will start dancing. If you aim a camera at her, she will pose.
Crawl around the vents in Shadow Moses to encounter Rats. When they see Snake, "!" will appear above their heads, accompanied with a sound. They will run away. Keep chasing them, and they will repeat the "!" alert. Following the rats is a good way to get in. If you call Otacon after you see the rats, Snake will talk about them and how they helped him before.
print meReducing stress
Sit in a box to reduce stress faster.
print meReplay bonus
Successfully complete the game, and create a cleared saved game file. Start another game session, and encounter Metal Gear II in the first stage to get the Drebin points, weapons, ammunition, items, and special items from your original game.
print meResearch lab boss fight
Two things to beat the boss here without taking damage and dieing
1.Using the tranquilizer rifle under a bed the rifle will knock her down and she will take better damage than the gun...
2.When fighting her in the human form she will dodge your targeted shots 3-4 times before taking the hit target but don't shoot til the 4 targeting..
print meReset OctoCamo

print meSnake Is Being Followed In Act 3?
After you leave the park but before the cutscene triggers. After the Resistance member goes down the flight of steps and turns left, go out on to the street and turn right, (might help to equip NV) and go down a little way. The street bends a little to the right, and then bends again. If you turn around to face the way you've come, and then turn around again quickly, you'll see a Figure quickly duck behind one of the corners on the right (I think which one depends how far down the street you are). If you don't move, and equip binos or a zoom lens, you can aim at the figure and examine it. It wears a trenchcoat similar to Snake's, and a fedora hat (I think - you know, the Sam Spade kind). Its face is completely hidden and its figure obscured, so there's no telling who he/she is. If you aim with a scope-equipped weapon, the figure quickly ducks away out of sight, but remains if you use the camera or binos. Even if you have the shot lined up, shooting the figure has no effect. Sadly, contacting Otacon doesn't trigger any conversations.
