Fatal Frame Cheats & Tips

Complete the entire game on the Nightmare difficulty setting. You will then recieve the Alternate Ending.

Complete the game in Battle mode. This will unlock the extremely difficult Nightmare Mode.

This will only reload type:37 film. Just go to the camera where you save your game. At the side of the picture of the Memory card is a picture of film. Click on it and it will tell you if you want to reload your film to 30 shots.

Battle Mode Beat the game and load Clear Data

Chapter Selection for All Difficulties Beat the game on Fatal difficulty

Chase Special Function for Camera Complete all Battle Mode missions with S ranking

Costumes 6&7 Beat Fatal Mode with a S ranking

To obtain the following (Battle Mode, Sound Test, Ghost List & Spec Functions) beat the game one time

A "Chapter" option will be unlocked in Story Mode if you finsih the game on Nightmare difficulty.

Finish Battle mode one time to obtain Nightmare mode.

To get a 'screensaver', pause the game and leave it paused for a while, in a little bit the ghosts will start to put their bloody hands on the screen!

After beating the game save it then load and start. When you start run to the save point and save it then load and start a new game. You will gain more herb by doing that. You can repeat it as many times plus you can get other items like type 32 but it will take more time to do that.

Xbox version has 11 more ghosts (a total of 119) compared to PS2's 108, so there is extra in Xbox version!

Below are where they can be found. All of them are hidden ghosts, except the last one (fatal mode only), which is an attacking ghost.
