If you have the Bless spell and an Ylside armor, you can put it on them even if you are in the 10th level of Strength. Use the Bless spell (your level of magic is important at this point) and put on the armor and weapons. When the spell ends, you can still wear the armor.

When you have to get the shield of the ancients,go to the crypt and just fight or sneck to where the shield is hidden.There you will be confronted by a ghost who will tell you to solve his little game thing anyway instead of doing that,just jump up on the broken colum near the locked door and from there jump up onto the platform which takes you into the room with the shield.There you have it you've got the shield!Remember that you may have to step at bit of the colum to jumb though.Anyway inside is a butten which will get you out...all without solving the game!
