Instead of running around and trying to chase down sheep, goats, deer, etc. one at a time, try doing the following:

Hit start for menu, push right for orders, click animal, click call. Any nearby animals will then run up to you so you can have 5 or 6 right there in front of you. Then just use a Dark Hand magic attack (or any other strong magic attack that can hit multiple enemies at once) to one hit kill the whole mob. You can then collect all the drops from them right there.

1. Line the camera up directly behind your guy so you can tell when you get a bite on the rod, and to tell what side of your guy the fish moves to.
2. Once you get a nibble, push the "L" stick Right to start the mini-game.(I found that pushing it any other way ended the game before it starts)
3. Depending on which way the fish moves, you will want to pull the opposite way. Now i say pull because you have to Pull back on the "L" stick to get the fish to drop its HP. So if its on your right side, pull Back/Left. If you just push left, the HP will not drop. When it goes over to your left side pull Back/Right.
4. The fish's HP will drop pretty quickly and you can wait til it drops all of the way and you will get the fish automatically. (it really doesn't take long) Also when the meter is low and turns red you can push the "A" button to get it. Sometimes it won't work though, so it's best to wait till the meter is fully drained.
