Gears of War Tips
I was playing co-op and was messing around and found a way to kill a berserker in a couple of seconds. Unstead of using the hammer of dawn like 5 times to kill a berserker (depends on difficulty) just use it ounce then tag them (melee them with the grenade) while they are burning/red and you should instantly kill them.

In Act 4, you face alot of boomers. The first 2 is with your entire squad, and here's tips on how to defeat then and any Boomer.
Act 4 Boomer Tip:
When you face the first or second one, there is a small opening in a house right behind it. Make it past them and you will find their Rocket Launcher thing in their with 2 shots. Use it to take it out then collect their ammo. Then, when you face the next one, repeat. Keep it for later in the mission, for you will need it, kemosabi
The quickest way to take out any boomer at anytime and anywhere, is with something that explodes such as the Torque Bow or the Rocket Launcher thing. For the least amount of ammo consuption, aim for their head. The Rocket Launcher should take them out in one good head shot.
More tips you should use wisely, kemosabi

Now the chainsaw is a good and a bad thing. The pros of the thing are a one hit kill, has what seems like an 8 foot wing span that can grab people around corners and even when they dive away from you, and of course the bloodiest way to kill somebody. The cons are that in online play the chainsaw takes waaayyy to long to kill somebody if he has teammates around him. Since you can't die while chainsawing somebody, they just wait with a shotgun next to you and blow you into pieces after you are done. Or they chainsaw you right back. So the chainsaw is a perfect weapon for flanking and catching people by surprise.
All that said, you can still win a battle verse a shotgun up close. What you don't want to do is just run in a hold down b. You want to be blind firing at him (not using the left trigger to bring up the cross hairs), you won't very accurate but you aren't actually trying to kill him that way. You want to get close enough where the chainsaw will lock onto him but the danger is the shotgun can deliver a fatal blow in 1 or 2 hits at that range. So you want to time pressing B in between shotgun firing. As long as you weren't stunned or chainsaw de-revved by the shotgun you should grab him with the saw leaving him screaming, "WHAT THE *bleep* I SHOT HIM"(I know from experience on both ends). So the moral is chainsaw the unsuspecting and between shots in a one on one.
Most people would know that Locusts appear from Emergence Holes, which are openings in the ground, and can be closed by tossing a grenade into one. However, what you may not know is the Hammer of Dawn, can be used to close Emergence Holes too, as long as it's outdoors and the satellite's online.

You don't have to close emergence holes with frag grenades or the hammer of dawn... you can also use the torque bow and boom shot

Alright, I was going to put a tip for RAAM, but several people got there first.
Here's one for the Corpser in Act 3. Of all enemies I've fought who are the size of my house, this guy was one of the easiest.
Everyone knows how to force him back. My friend was telling me how he kept running out of grenades trying to blow up the clamps. Silly sod. All I did was just stand on the clamps and wait for the guy to stab me. Dive out of the way when he does, and he should destroy the clamps instead. Saved you two grenades there.

Please note that this is for co-op only
Have one person with the Torque Bow, and the other person with a Longshot. The torque bow should detonate, taking out RAAM's Kryll shield, and the Longshot should get 2-3 hits in the head (active reload), per Torque Bow detonation. When he's on the direct opposite side of the bunker, have both players throw 3 grenades each, once they detonate, both of them should stick him with their remaining grenades.
If this doesn't kill him, he's extremely close to dying, so keep at it until you've killed him. (This is intended for Insane, Casual and Hardcore should be a cakewalk with this method).
The easiest way is to melee or use the shot gun, and for the explodeing ones, well do the same and this time jump out of the way.

For the brand new achievements that were released, there's an easy (and cheap) way to get them. None of them require ranked matches, so simply sign onto a guest and kill the guest multiple times to win on the map/gametype you want.
If you enjoy massacring you're enemy to bits then here's a tip. If you are revving your chainsaw and are walking toward the person then right before he shoots you stop revving it. Then after he shoots, rev it again and he's all yours.
on the level china shop once you get the court yard hit the berserker with the hammer of dawn once and while he is stuned grenade tag him and imediately rodie run or you will die and once it explode it will die

USED ON COOP ONLY
okay we all know about this guy, he is a pain in the @$$. me and a friend discovered a really easy tactic to kill him without using up all of your ammo or using a torque bow(i cant use them).
stay behind the fallen segment of pillar at the first car and shoot him with the longshot and hit himk with lancer blind fire. when he gets close to you fli[p over it and like h3ll to the other pillar on the oher side. move behind the large platform behind you. hav one person sit back behind the pillar and have the other go up to the gattkling gun on top. shoot him and whenever he gunner is down just run up and get him back up.
This tip works extremely well offline as well as online. Pull out your shotgun, melee an enemy, then simply hold down the fire trigger. You'll blow the opponent apart before he has a chance to react. I've used this countless times and it works 75% of the time: Sometimes a glitch will occur and it'll make you miss your shot, because the bullets seem to have no effect on your opponent. This is still worth the risk though, all you have to do is get up close.
some people may no about this but i foudn it out when i replayed the level the second time.
at the part in "the last stand where a big emergence hole pops up behind you and there 5 boomers in it , rather than shooting them you can kill them in liek 10 seconds by:
look to the right near the end of walkway on the rightside of the barricade and you should see two giant barrels attached , when the emergence hole opens it will break off and knock open a hole exposing 3 propane tanks under it, shoot the propane tanks and it will make the barrel fall into the boomer and explode owning them all this will be a tremendous help on insane and hardcore
hope this helps
There are thirty hidden Cog Tags scattered throughout the game. They're small and sometimes hard to find, but there's a a mark you can look out for that'll make finding the Cog Tags easier. Look for large, red Gear logos pasted on the walls--if you find a room with this large Gear logo, examine the room and you're sure to find a Cog Tag somewhere.

a way to defeat general ram is by getting torque bows, 5-10 shots kills him. anything that explodes is the best thing to use on him.
another way i found out is to step in the darkness and as SOON as he sends out the kryl step in the light and shoot him
if ur playing coop have one person step in the dark idea (it works) and the other runs to the turret in the back, wait in the closest light to the turret and as soon as the other guy distracts the kryl get on the turret and lash at him but wen the kryl go after u get in the closest light

Complete the game on either Casual or Hardcore difficulty to unlock Insane difficulty.
1st you have to have a hammer of dawn, at least one grenade and two people playing. The one with the hammer of dawn uses the hammer. One the hammer is down and on the Berserker the person with the grenades will run up on the berserker and tag it. Run away and then the berserker will blow up form the grenade. This needs kind of god timing to work.

Whenever you are at a point where wretches appear, and the camera does it's cinematic zoom, if you leave the fight you are in, just prior to the wretches coming, and stand where you know the wretches will appear, when the camera zooms, you will be able to see Marcus standing near them, as long as you are close enough to the wretch.

Ok RAAM is one heck of a beast but know this, he is not that hard. First grab a Torque Bow and keep the Lancer handy and full of ammo. Alright so RAAM has the Kryll around him whoop-de-freakin-do. Use the Torque Bow to blow them off of RAAM and then quickly switch to the lancer. If you don't know the art of active reloading I suggest you better. Unload on RAMM and maybe you can get another clip out on him if you do your active reload right. Repeat and eventually he'll go down. This strategy took me about 5 min but it will increase on hardcore and insane. If RAAM gets too close to you run like hell to the other side of the train otherwise the kryll will come to feast on you or RAAM will tear you to bits with his turret. Don't use the turret on the other side of the train because you're in complete darkness and the kryll will attack while you focusing on RAAM. Do this and you should have no problem.

Raam is a pain in the @$$ for some of us. He's actually pretty easy if you have the right kind of firepower. The stronger the weapon, the better. Get your hands on the sniper rifle, which is located in the room before the fight with Raam. Stay behind the first wall that you see, so that you'd keep your distance from him. He uses krylls to protect him, and eventually lashes them out to get you.
Grenades will help clear the swarm, then fire away with the sniper rifle. The torque bow is also extremely effective here. It's much easier in co-op, one can get Raam's attention while the other fires away. If not, have Dom play bait. Hope this helps.

Killing RAAM- Instead of using the longshot/Torque bow combo, why don't you get double torque bow (Remember, where the troqkia's are? They have an unlimited supply near them). But remember to grab a longshot for each of you. Just in case you run out of torques. Anyways, Torque bow him and it'll just about take 12-14 torque shot's (Active of crose) will kill him in arund 20 seconds. If you use up your torque shots, Just lob a gernade near him. He's on the brink of dieing anyways.
Another one is when your in the car. If you don't touch the debree on the ground, you get less Kyrlls to come after you.
1: Never chainsaw these, especially when being swarmed.
2: Kill them with a quick burst of Lancer blindfire.
Gears of War Glitches
For each chapter you only need to play the beginning and last checkpoint on Insane. This does not affect achievements. Just remember to change back to Insane before you get to the last checkpoint in the chapter. I also DON NOT mean Acts there are like 5 "chapters" in each "Act" you probably already know but I'm making it crystal for you.
This works best in co-op. When cutting an enemy, have your partner kill it right before you start cutting your enemy. If done correctly you will be cutting nothing. This works best when cutting Wretches because they die easier. There was a time where I was cutting a Wretch and it was still alive.

In the level where you are in the factory, there will be a part where you will encounter a Stranded. He will follow you for a little while but dies in the end, due to falling and getting eaten by wretches. Before that happens, get ahead of him where the wooden unstable floor is, fall kill the all the wretches, and go back up. When he falls, you will see him dead on the ground screaming for no reason and yet there are no enemies. Stupid but funny glitch.

The Achievement 'Zen and the Art Part 2' can not only be obtained in Single Player, but also in Multiplayer. Not sure about the first one, but I obtained Zen and the Art Part 2 [Perform 5 perfect active reloads in a row on any difficulty] in Multiplayer Ranked match. Use this tip for an easier 20 Gamerscore, kemosabi
On online mode, be sure to join a quickmatch where the level select is "ROOFTOPS". Depending on the side of the map you spawn from, you will see a dead guy sitting on a toilet...
1) Walk straight to the small ledge facing toward the flight of stairs leading to the main rooftops.
2) Turn to the right (The way you would usually go) and continue to the end of the path.
3) Turn to the left (Again, the way you would usually go), but stop when a fence is on your right.
4) If on the right side of the map, the fence should be torn down a bit. If so, throw a smoke/ regular grenade into the open window across the gap from you. When the grenade flashes/ explodes, you will see a dead guy on a toilet.
NOTE: If the fence is not torn down on your first attempt, simply wait until the current round is over. When you spawn, you will be on the correct side of the map!

To get the achievments for beating each act on each difficulty is first you have to beat the game on casual. After you unlock insane. Then go straight to insane and skip hardcore and when you are beating insane you will get the achievments for hardcore too.

If you see a downed Enemy never-ever curbstomp them.
It's quicker meleeing and it's harder for snipers , chainsawers and shotgunner's to get you after because if you curbstomp you're vulnerable.
Now, we've all gotten cut in half by a chainsaw every now and then. You may think by this point in time that it's a no-escape deathtrap. Well, not exactly.
Dodge the person long enough to do some damage, and then, if you don't kill them, when they come to chainsaw you....Many people don't realise that before the chainsaw gets into your head you can still shoot! Well, hopefully you have your machine gun out, hold the Right Trigger down and you may hopefully kill them. It may not always work, but when it does, it will leave you satisfied!
Use this tip wisely, kemosabi
To get both of these achiements, you don't have to be in a battle for them to count. Wait for a quiet moment with no Locust around, then try to get your reloads.
This means that you can concentrate on your reloads and not survival.
