Rune Factory Frontier Cheats & Tips

A really fast way to court and marry Iris Blanc (White Iris) is by giving her a tomato juice each day. Every day after 6:00 pm go visit her and when you give her the tomato juice, after just several days her HP should be up by another level.

Grass runeys are green and they are the base of the Runey food chain. Tree runeys eat them, and they decrease in number easily in most areas. >> They grow by themselves, but begin to die when they are the most dominant type of runey in an area. Because of this, the areas will never be over-populated with Grass runeys.

Reviving Grass Runeys:
Grass runeys are, in my opinion, the toughest to revive out of them all.

The easiest way to revive them is to find a part of the town that has no Tree runeys, and place several of them there. Make sure to have a lot of Water or Rock runeys around, since they won't grow unless there is more of another type of Runey. That area should be filled with Grass runeys in about a week, if you keep the number of another type of runey except Tree runeys up. =D

What I did:
The ones I used were Water runeys, because I had a lot of them over-populating Trampoli, and I set about 30 of them free where I wanted my Grass runeys to grow. ^^; Every now and then, I placed a few Rock runeys in the same area for the Water runeys to eat so they wouldn't die out quickly. In 3 game days, I made 4 Grass runeys grow into 16 Grass runeys.

Stuck on first 2 seasonal bosses? Well I hope this will help.

As for the Chickenhawk (Green Ruins), the best strategy is to (if your a low level.) snipe him off with a fire rod. He will peck you, sweep his wing launching out projectiles which deal 1 damage, charge at you (often after his battle cry), lay eggs, and fly, then charging at you stunning himself. All of his attacks are easy to dodge if you keep moving. If your a bit stronger, you can use swords and tomahawks. Remember to bring some Rp recovery food, and for those who dont know, give Kanno all the stuff he wants and he will give you the fire rod.

For the Morphing Slime (Lava Ruins), there is many different parts, calling for different strategies. I (opposed to the element) used a Flame Axe to kill them all, but its the dodging that counts. To start, there is 8 bees. All they do is fire a string of 5 stingers, or a single stronger one. Try to huddle them up then hit them all at once. Next is the Wolf things (forgot the name) which will breath a status effective breath, claw and slash, and warp, unleashing a series of 3 energetic projectiles. It is pretty easy to dodge them all, and when they end an attack they walk around for a couple secs, perfect for a hit. Next is 2 ogres. Then attack wildly with 3 swings (which is a horrible time to try and hit him.), leap in the air the crush you (very, very easy to dodge, and the perfect counter attack time.) or charge a hard hit (Also easy to dodge and counter.) Bring him down then you have 16 slimes... but I think you know how to kill these already... just have them all TRY to spike you at the same area, then hit them hard. They will all join together for the final battle. He will, blow up the ground under you 4 times (attack him quickly AFTER all 4.), blow up the area around him (easy to dodge, and dont attack smarrt one.), lanuch a multiple strings of fissures (be careful dodging, so dont attack.), and his worst, he will leap in the air to burn you with his lava composure (If you dont dodge this, you are probably dead, depending on your equipment and level and health etc.) I will also note that he is the weakest on the SIDE, so dont hit him in the front, back, or well you can hit him in the face for lols.

Finnaly, I must apologize, because I cannot defeat the Ice Snake yet. Keep in mind, after each boss is defeated, her will get much stronger on the next attempts. Hope this all helps!

If you're courting Anette, and you just can't give her the things she likes, then this is when this comes in handy.

You probably know that one of her liked gifts is Milk, which is also considered one of the easiest gifts to give her. If you're too lazy to build a Monster Hut and get a Buffamoo, go to the bar during store hours and talk to Rita behind the counter.

Select "Got an order," then a bunch of foods and drinks will show up on the screen.

On the bottom line of drinks, there should be a little bottle. That's the milk! Buy as many milk bottles as you can, and give them to Anette, or you can also drink it.

Bianca is unique from all the other characters in all other Harvest Moon/Rune Factory games because you do not have to give her items to raise her affection - actually, giving her items/gifts doesn't do ANYTHING except for special occasions like on festivals.
All you have to do to woo Bianca is talk to her each day. She may seem rich, preppy, stuck up, and snobby, but many look over the fact that she doesn't ask for anything from you except conversation and friendship.
There's more to Bianca that the snobby brat she comes off as; she's actually a very sweet girl, which you'll come to learn if you decide to try befriending her.

A very quick and easy way to court Melody is by giving her the grasses in your field, and in all the fields in the dungeons. Grass is really easy to come by every day - her favorite colors are orange and red. Also, just by taking a bath everyday, her HP will go up pretty fast. Baths only cost 10g and this can easily be gotten by simply selling the weeds in your backyard that are worth 10g each. (Weeds, not grass; there's a difference).

If you're just getting started, and you're pretty much desperate for cash, then why not look around you farm fields? You'll find plenty of things, such as weeds, grasses, bamboo shoots.

Ship all of the weeds, grasses, and bamboo shoots. You could also ship the medicinal herbs, but I, for one, keep them just in case.

At about five o' clock, Rosetta should come to pick up your daily shipments. There'll be a little scene everyday when you're out in the fields when she collects them.

If you've shipped weeds that day, she'll comment on how you've shipped out weeds again.

Nonetheless, she'll count it anyway, and you should rake in some easy cash. Bamboo shoots are 110G each, and weeds are 10G each. Although it may be a small shipping price, there are a lot of weeds; more than ten on your field a day. It should rake in some cash around the hundreds.

Not much, but then again, you are desperate for cash, right?

During the Winter season, Lake Poli will be frozen over. You'll no longer need to use the kayak because you can walk on the ice.

If you look, you'll notice that far off to the left in the frozen lake, there's a big black hole. If you head over there, you'll realize it's a fishing hole. Use your pole to fish here for really big catches... usually each catch averages at least a level 7 and usually a level 10 or 11, and just a few hour's worth of fish from that hole can get you almost $10000 gold.

Instead of spending lots and lots of money on medicine from Lara, there's a much cheaper way to increase your health when you desperately need it (like in boss fights). Use your pole to go fishing, and take all the fish you catch to the cutting board in your kitchen and cook them into sashimi. Each sashimi slightly increases your HP and drastically increases your RP - sometimes it will increase your RP by an average of 280-350, which no medication from the infirmary can do.

Cheap Axe: Talk to Stella and receive a request to deliver a Bamboo Shoot to Turner. Deliver the Bamboo Shoot and then til 45 plots of land on your farm with a hoe. Talk to Stella until she hands you the Cheap Axe.

Cheap Pole: Wait until the Clock Tower opens on the 7th of Spring and talk to Kanno, the old man who lives there, until he tells you about his granddaughters. Leave the Clock Tower and watch the event when you meet Cinnamon and Candy, his granddaughters. Wait until a sunny afternoon and talk to Cinnamon outside of Homestead when she is fishing until she hands it to you.

Cheap Hammer: Visit Whale Island and go through it until you see Melody. Watch the scene and she will hand it to you.

Cheap Hoe: The Cheap Hoe is received in the beginning of the game by Mist.

Cheap Sickle: Til 45 plots of land on your farm and then talk to Erik, he will hand it to you.

Cheap Watering Can: The Cheap Watering Can is received in the beginning of the game by Mist.

Harvester: Complete the same events for the Cheap Pole, but instead talk to Candy.

Pet Glove: Talk to Kross after fighting monsters on Whale Island.

Once you're married, your wife will get pregnant 30 days later.
But on one condition.
Take this from me, because it took me almost 2 1/2 seasons for Uzuki to get pregnant in my file and it was because I realized I had never purchased the Children's Bed from Lute.
So, your wife will get pregnant in about 30 days as long as you have purhased the Children's Bed from Lute for 20,000g.

When you have Bianca up to 8 hearts, the next time you visit her, she'll shriek and fall down. Francoise will be out of control (as you will probably have heard from other villagers) when Tabatha sees that Biance is hurt and that Francoise did it, she makes Bianca give him up and asks you to send him back to the First Forest.
Now, the only thing keeping Bianca staying in the village... is you.

By talking to Kross you can create new rooms in your home, each with three different styles.

Kitchen. Costs: 10,000g and 120 lumber.

Styles:
Bulging: Semi-circular shape at equal level of the rest of the house. Outside it looks round and has a chimney.
Ba-Bump: Square shape with a set of stairs leading up to it. Outside it looks square and has a chimney.
Pointy: Split square with a set of stairs leading down to it. Outside it has a pointy roof with a chimney.

Laboratory. Costs: 15,000g and 180 lumber.

Styles:
Apothecary: Rectangle shaped with two upward steps. Outside it has a triangle like frame with a board in the center.
Alchemy: Circular shaped with steps leading upwards. Outside the room is pointed with one window.
Magic: Square shaped with stairs leading upwards to a circular platform. Outside it has a square roof and a few small windows.

Forge. Costs: 20,000 and 240 lumber.

Styles:
Cozy: Rectangle shaped with steps leading downwards. Outside it has a pointy roof with forging materials like wood.
Cool: Rectangle shaped and at equal level of the house. Outside it has a square shape and barrels.
Creepy: Circular shaped with stairs leading downward. Outside it has a circular shape and circular roof.

Bedroom. Costs: 75,000g and 900 lumber.

To get Bianca to stay in Trampoli rather than move out when Summer is over, you must have a barn built and get her a pet elephant. To do this, you must explore the deeper caves of Whale Island. When you head further towards the direction of the Whale's Fin, you'll run across a pink and purple monster that resembles an elephant - it won't any harm though, it'll just circle around you.
The next time you visit your barn, the creature will be in there.
On certain dates, when you next visit Bianca's house, the elephant will follow you there. Bianca will be thrilled and ask to keep it - say yes and she'll decide to stay, since "Francois", her new pet, cannot live in any other circumstances outside Trampoli.

At some point during the game when you talk to Melody, she will ask you to visit the hot springs on Whale Island because there is a problem with the water flow. When you do this, you will find a big red monster blocking the canal through which the hot spring water flows. Talk to him, and he'll say that he'll only move if you give him ice cream.

To make ice cream, of course you'll need a kitchen, and you'll need a milk and an egg. To get these items, you can buy from the bar after 6:00 pm. Then use them to make ice cream.

When you give it to the monster, he will gladly move out of the way, and the water will start flowing through again. Next time you visit Melody's bath house, it will be expanded.

This is how you get to the mysterious locked door on level B4 of the Lava Ruins, the one that you use Uzuki's hairpin to open up.

(These instructions start at the main entrance to the 4th floor, NOT taking the shortcut):

-When you descend the stairs to the 4th level, you'll see a passage to your left, a passage to your right, a blocked entrance in front of you, and a catapult with a bomb on it.

-Take your hammer and hit the target on the catapult so that the bomb flies and destroys the wall ahead.

-Go south through the door. You can take out the monsters if you like, but you can also just ignore them and run left to the west.

-You'll come across a room with several fields, keep going left and you'll come across more monsters.

-Kill the monsters or run past them to the left, then when you reach the wall on the west, turn south.

-There's a narrow passageway with boulders in the way, smash them with your hammer, collect the silver/copper if you like, then keep going south.

-You'll run into 2 big trolls. You can choose to fight and take them out, or dodge and run around them.

-Keep heading south past the trolls, then when you reach the wall at the bottom, turn right.

-While going along this eastern path, examine the wall to your right and you'll find a big stone door.

-Examine it, and you'll comment on how strange it is and that it's locked, but has a keyhole.

This is Uzuki's lost brother's door where you'll later find the letter.

To get the golden hairpin, you must first trigger a cutscene with Uzuki. When you notice people start commenting on how late Uzuki is going out for walks in the middle of the night, visit the mountain path after 6:00pm and you will find Uzuki at the observatory staring at the moon and making a wish.

After you trigger this cutscene, visit the 4th floor of the Lava Ruins and find the locked door that contains a keyhole. After you examine this door, the next time you speak to Uzuki (if she has 8 hearts or more) a discussion will start, you will remark on how the hairpin looks a lot like the keyhole in the locked door, and she will give you the hairpin.
Use the hairpin to unlock the door in the Ruins and you'll find a letter from Uzuki's brother.

There's an easy and simple way that you can increase your intelligence, for free.
In mid-Spring, when Cinnamon mentions the Serpent constellation, go to the observatory early in the evening (preferably around 6:00 pm) and once you have viewed the constellation, visit Rosetta at her shop the next day.
She will mention how she receieved a shipment in the form of a potion that she doesn't trust.
When you hesitantly tell her that you'll drink the potion to test it for her, afraid that it could be poison, it turns out that it is only a supplement that increases your intelligence.
Now you have a higher IQ and Rosetta doesn't.

You'll notice that there are many books in the Rune Archives that you can't read. There are many of these that you can unlock by viewing the Crown constellation. Near the end of Spring, when Cinnamon mentions the Crown constellation, go to the observatory after midnight to see it.
The next day, when you talk to Selphy, she'll mention how she got a collection of new books.
Scan the shelves (at the top of the ladder on the left-hand side) and all of the constellations you have viewed can now be read about it a book of its own. Each time you view a new constellation, a new book will arrive that can be read.

To get to the Green Ruins, you must cut down the weeds in front of Mist's house with the sickle. (You get the sickle from Erik). Talk to Mist, and when she tells you to chop down the weeds, do so. You will find a stone staircase that leads down to a dungeon called the Green Ruins... it is always Spring there.

To unlock the Lava Ruins, you must first have defeated the boss monster in the Green Ruins. Once you have done this, and if you have triggered the event where you see Iris on the Whale Island's Fin, you'll notice that the sprout in front of the ruins on the mountain path has grown a bit bigger.
To get into the ruins, you must collect 10 tree runeys and turn them into a tree rune stone by talking to Candy. Once you have the rune stone, place it in the hole inside the tree. The next day, the tree will have grown full size and it will have lifted up the giant stones blocking the entrance into the ruins - now you can enter through.

On the first Coming of Age Festival in year 1, Stella will have hidden a golden turnip in the village (obviously more than one, seeing as there can be 4 winners) she has also placed "fake" golden turnips around (turnips that aren't golden, and even carrots). These are the locations of all of the vegetables hidden in the village (the location of the actual golden turnip may vary with your game file):

1. Behind the Sunshine Inn, where the big stone blocks are.
2. In front of the ruins next to the Rune Archives.
3. After exiting south of the clock tower, look to the left in the area where the greenery is, in front of the river. (On the homestead)
4. To the north of the small pond next to Mist's house.
5. In the upper-northern region of the beach.
6. The open space where the observatory is.

A small but still effective way of gaining money is by preserving your crops after they die... you'll notice that on the first day of each season, all of your crops from the previous season will have died and become weeds. So, on the last day of each season you may think "I better chop down all these plants with the sickle right now so that they don't turn into pesty weeds tomorrow morning" but don't chop them down with the sickle - one, because it uses up a LOT of stamina (depending on how big the field is) and two, because the next day, even though they are weeds, they can all be sold for 10g each. So, you don't waste time by losing stamina and instead you gain 10 gold for each crop that died.

Since this place is a maze and a lot of people are getting lost, I decided to help...

Go to the 2nd door at the left then go south, you must have seen a field then follow the path. When you got there,don't go right since there are shadow panthers waiting for you but if ur in a higher level,then do whatever u want with them. Break the ice fridge. Once u did,there will be Glaces and other monsters that will attack you. Make sure you brought a lot of para-gones and antidote herbs. Once u passed them, you'll see a stairs which leads to the B3F.

Did you know some runeys grow better in certain parts of the town? Well you do now! =D

Water Runeys grow better at the beach, and at Lake Poli
Rock Runeys grow better in the Business district and the Public square.
Tree Runeys grow better in the Church district and the Mountain Pass.
Grass Runeys grow best in the Road to the beach and the South district.

All of the runeys grow equally well in Homestead, where your farm is.

Once you have viewed Bianca's constellation (the Elephant constellation in the summer) you can unlock a scavenger hunt game. Visit Bianca at her house and you'll notice a piece of paper that has fallen to the ground.
When you mention this to her, and read it to find that it is a clue, it will lead to a game; a treasure hunt to be specific.
These are the locations you should visit, in order:

Go to the observatory and walk around while pressing the "A" button... when you come across a bush, you'll speak up about how you see something there. Press A and you'll get a piece of paper with the next clue.

This time, go to Lake Poli. Get on the kayak and paddle to the island in the very middle of the lake. Walk around and examine the grass, and Raguna will explain that he knows something is there (right next to the water) and it will be a diamond.

On the way back to Bianca's house, you'll find a wedding ring in the front pathway. Bianca will meet you outside. She tells a story that belongs to the ring. Then she decides to take the ring and let you keep the diamond.

You can sell the diamond for a lot of money.

Ingredients for the Wedding Boquet and how to get them:

Baleen - collect a "Tide Cluster" from the shore on the beach and keep in in your rucksack. When you next visit Whale Island, the Whale's spirit will ask for your Tidal Cluster in exchange for Baleen.

Blue Rose - talk to Ganesha and she will give you a white rose. Stick the white rose in the Seed Maker and it will give you a bag of seeds so plant them. After they have bloomed, though, wait 2 days - they will turn from white to blue.

Moondrop Flower - Buy seeds from Rosetta's Materia Store

Pink Cat - Buy seeds from Rosetta's Materia Store

Toy Herb - Buy seeds from Rosetta's Materia Store

Charm Blue Buy seeds from Rosetta's Materia Store

in the middle of summer start talking to girls.they will say there is a ghost in Trampoli.on rare days if you go to mmist house there will be a girl thats just so beautiful with white hair blue eyes and quite a funny looking dress. you can talk to her.mist wont notice her for some odd reason.the 4 th time you meet her she will give you a 4 leaf clover worth 6500.if you talk to her enough then talk to stella the ghost and stella say the same things. after a while you will realise that the "ghost" is younger stella.

Most houses you have to wait until 9 am to get in. To get in early go near a door and shake the numchuck.The person will say if you can come in or not. sometimes and dose not let you.

To meet white Elis on whale island go to whales fin and go to the tower in the patch plant moondrop flowers.water them everyday [it seems hard but its not] when they bloom go to the tower at 6 pm you will see her watering them but she wont see you or talk to you.

i was having a hard time with monsters.especially when i was trying to get the silver wolf on whales fin. to be tougher buy A LOT of accesories and put them on. ESPECIALLY buy the pumkin head for [4500] that helps DEFEND a lot.
