Play as Gundam:
Complete story mode with the GP02A after defeating Gundam.

Play as New Gundam:
Complete story mode with the Zaku II after defeating New Gundam.

Play as Ball:
Complete the game with all twelve mobile suits under any difficulty setting.

Play as MA-08 Bygzam:
Complete story mode under the easy difficulty level.

Play as AMX-002 Neue-Ziel:
Complete story mode under the normal difficulty level.

Play as Psycho Gundam Mk III:
Complete story mode under the hard difficulty level.

Play as 0Z-15 AGX Hydra Gundam:
Complete story mode under the hard difficulty level without continuing.

Play as Char's Zaku II:
Press Left, Up, Right, Down, Square, Triangle, Circle at the mode selection. A sound will confirm correct code. Select versus mode, then keep pressing Right at the Gundam selection screen. Note: press L1 (x4), R1 (x4), L1, R1, L1, R1, L1, R1, L1, R1 at the mode selection screen in the Japanese version of the game.

Alternate colors:
press Start + X at the versus mode screen.

If you are having trouble beating Gundam Battle Assault on hard, you should consider reading this!

When I first played it, it was like going into unexplored territory. As time went on I've grown used to it(as video gamers always do). But if you are playing this game for the first time with no knowledge of anything that has to do with mobile suits or gundams of any kind, then good luck to you. If you do then that gives you an edge on some of the competition, but unfortunatly not all.
To get really good at this game I suggest you take it slow the first time around. You see what I did when I was severly out of practice was take all the resources I had left and kept beating "story mode" on "easy" then I gradually got tougher and tougher to beat. That's when I jackked up the difficulty level to "normal"(keep in mind that this accually works now). Then when they were no match for me, I went to hard and it was amazing how good I've gotten.(If it doesn't work the first time keep trying)

at the beginning u must press up, down,o,o,o,o,right,left up down. then go to story mode and go to staory mode on any setting and lose to the first person theat comes and get the time 956 and in done right the 956 should turn silvery kinda and then got to the start screen and press up up down down left right o,o the a sound will let u know if it is right then go to verus mode and keep pressing left untill u get it.
