After any mission,press X and go to match menu(beside save menu).Go to Infrastructure and sign up or log in.Create a game.Then, before you press first battle, mock battle or real battle, go to customise and change the mode from VR to RC(real combat).To avoid losing your soldiers, use unique characters like Snake,Null,etc.But make sure the game you chose isn't about deathmatch or team deathmatch but about team capture mission or capture mission.You should win to unlock different and funny looking soldiers(if you are lucky you can find one or two in prisoners under manage menu).

Instead of taking just one soldier to an ally who's hiding in a cardboard box, take multiple unconscious soldiers there at once. Leave them all near the box, and when you call in for Prisoner Evacuation, all the prisoners will be taken in one shot. Saves a lot of time, and if you can get a good position/chokepoint where you can have an ally hide really close, you can lure an entire squad of enemies to your location, knock them down with melee and/or tranq darts, and then capture them all without having to go through the trouble of walking them all the way back and forth to other allies and/or to the truck.
These are tactics on all bosses in Extreme mode.
Python: Stamina kill with mk22 when u see an opening. Equip should be: body armor, mk22, med kits, and pentazemin incase u dont have an S in handgun.
Null(both times): Equip: SAA,body armor, M870, and health/SAA ammo if your tech unit doesnt have arms specialist. The stragety is to basically shoot the revolver past null so it richochets and hits him, you need to time it right so you hit him as he recovers, then tactical reload.
Metal Gear Raxa:
Your Equipment should be Rpg-7, Body Armor, Rpg-7 ammo, and L med kits. This boss is easy, shoot its legs with the rpg, tactical reload, fire, repeat. In the part where you get barraged by rockets after its legs are gone, shoot the missile launchers until it dies. The bd is for its machine gun sweeping attacks.
Cunningham: The 2nd hardest boss.
Equipment should be: M63, body armor, Svd, thermal goggles/L Med kits.
After he falls, go prone behind the railing with the Svd equipped and aim at his head the best you can and get him. Itll barely miss taking half health down so you'll have to hit him in the head twice and you have to inflict minor damage to kill him.
Gene: The hardest boss
Your Equipment for this uber boss should be: Svd, M63, Rations, and whatever else you want.
Med kits wont work as well because his dash attack kills you instantly, unless you plan on getting hit alot. His openings are right before he uses a knife attack so auto lock him with the M63. This is a strict one on one so dodge his dash attacks and go up to him and use the svd for a headshot. Thats it for the bosses on Extreme Mode. Good Luck! If you have any problems pm me.

Best results are found on the Extreme difficulty,
Play through the game until you find the mission with the fox units in the
report menu at Security base, enter the mission and play through it until setting of an alarm makes powerfull soldiers chase you,
Stun them all with the MK22 and check each one for items, drag all that drop GAKO`s to your truck then abort the mission,
Soldiers with 180-220+ Health and an A or S in assualt rifle can be aquired this way,
14573 = paramedic
14841 = sigint
14545 = silo complex 1
14851 = silo complex 2

Go to Harbour then interrogate an enemy.That enemy will say the frequency for HQ. Do that frequency and they will send reinforcements against you.This is also a tip for recruiting enemy soldiers.
You can recruit the government officials, instead of interrogating him, just drag him to the truck, long trip, but worth it. Make sure guards are knocked out on the way.
Ingame the Svd does 25 damage for chestshots. A good way to find high hp soldiers is I.e. a soldier with over 100hp is shooting him 4 times in the chest, if he dies then he had under 100hp.
Use this tactic to find high hp soldiers!

There aren't many doors in the game that are locked (and they never really have anything behind them that you couldn't access some other way), but if you drag an unconscious/dead/sleeping enemy in front of a locked door, then wake them up so that they will unlock it for you.
This is a trick to pass 2 or 3 days between missions. Helpful for getting those Characters Teliko and Venus legitimately.
It is noted that this is probably best to use when you have proceeded well into the game. Probably after defeating Null for the second time.
Find a Location furthest from the Prison. Select it and enter it. As soon as it loads, Abort the mission, then when it returns to briefing, use up all your Wait opportunities. Then, select the Prison instead. When that loads, abort again, and return to the briefing screen. Notice how many days has passed. Now use up all you Wait opportunities, then choose the furthest location from the Prison again, then repeat everything thats been said. You should be able to pass a year in about an hour, if your that keen.
ok so there is a super easy way to kill or take stamina down for null in the his first battle. go near where the silo complex entrance is and go to the other side where there is a ladder going up, go up it and look back. there shud be a big crate or large square box, Jump onto it by pressing X(roll) and laydown null will not jump onto it he will get close to it and shoot but will not end up hitting you shoot him in the head till he dies or his stamina is down *He will continuasly move close as you shoot him each time making it easer to shoot him...his head will slowly appear so shoot him*
In Extreme Mode, lots of places have installed spy cameras like Silo Complex's cameras. Use Chaff Grenade to temporarily disables the spy cameras but the spy cameras will go back to normal after few seconds.

Box glitching can be used in many different ways, for example to get outside the map, to get into a bed, and to get into cages, this will also help contributeto help do many other cheats...
Basically u need a box and equip it, then make sure you cn equip it with just the equip button. Make snake lay down and when he is half way through laying down equip the box,
Note : this may take a few attempts at first .
You will know when you have done it by looking through f.p and you will notice that you see snake crunched up instead of looking through the hole.
Now if you go up to like a vent on the floor and try turn your back to it, GET AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE! if done so correctly you will sit kinda in the vent and get sucked up. U can either wait to re-appear or quickly exit and end up outside.. Try experimenting with this cos its used for alot of stuff

Go to town when there isn't anything to report at a moment.Interrogate an enemy and this will say the frequency for HQ.The HQ will send soldiers to attack you.If this didn't work maybe because all the soldiers there are asleep/unconscious/dead.Frequencies for HQ 1 & 2 will only work when there is still soldiers left.
In the Security Base.Go to the biggest buiding where you can find the map for warhead storage.One of the rooms there has the AK-47.If you are lucky, the room there is unlocked.
In the Security Base.On the north-west building, go to the B1 floor.If the door there is locked, you will have to go there by crouching.You will see on the map that there leads a path to the room I'm talking about.The Body Armour must be there but if not you will try again next time.
Go to Town.Shoot all enemy soldiers in Town with Mk22.Ater that, one-by-one, carry the soldiers to wherever you want to make them put out their items.One of the soldiers deployed in the Town will put out his item and Mk22 together.Then if you got the Mk22, just do whatever you want.
Go to the hospital and recruit the doctors there.After that abort the mission.Go to the manage menu and look at your prisoners.If you are lucky, your prisoners(doctors)might have a Mk22 holding with them.

Have two weapons equipped. When you are close to running out in your clip, change weapons then immediately change back and your gun will be reloaded.
Frequency for doors
During the mission before the Cunningham fight, the frequency for the first frequency door is scratched on the wall behind the guard that is posted in the room.
The frequency code for the doors at the Silo Complex are 145.75 for the first and 148.51 for the second.
Use Snake (he has the most health and stamina, and dying with him will not cause loss of your favorite soldier) with the 5.56x45mm Caliber Assault Rifle (M16A1 or XM177E2) and RPG7; Body Armor; and Medical Kit (L). Fire the M16A1 using the L lock-on button. Fire two or three magazines into his flying machine and there will be a minor explosion. He will drift downwards as his flying machine malfunctions. At this point, fire using the L lock-on again, but keep it to short bursts or single shots. Almost every shot will count towards taking down his life. Ammo boxes for the 5.56 rifle will continuously appear as you run low, and there is a spare M16A1 rifle as well. The rest is standard bullet dodging. Note: You can fire at the rockets he shoots later as his health gets low by shooting at them in First Person mode. Firing at the mines he throws will cause them to explode safely at a distance. Also, RPG7 rockets will count as a bullet hit on his health, and two or three consecutive shots will cause the flying machine to drift down faster, but there are no RPG refills during the battle.
The times which you can shoot him with a non explosive are when he is reloading, turned his back against you, still looking for you, or sometimes while shooting if you are lucky. The best gun for this is the shotgun. When you actually get a shot into him, it will knock him down.
CQC of any kind does not work on Null. If you try to punch, kick, or tackle him, he will slash you with his sword. He will also block any bullets you shoot at him. The only way to defeat him is to hit him in the back or wait until he reloads his gun. He fires three bursts before having to reload, and will shoot even if he cannot see you. Wait until the third burst, then quickly jump out and shoot or tranquilize him. Alternately, use any type of explosive, as he cannot block them.
When fighting Python, lock on to him with L and shoot him when he becomes visible through the fog. Make sure to continuously back up, otherwise he will lunge forward and knock you down with his weapon. It is also a good idea to plant the TNT with a soldier other than Snake. By doing this, when you begin the fight you will start as the character you planted the bomb with. Then if your character dies, you will have the option of selecting the next player to fight with so that you can save Snake to finish the job after Python has been weakened.
The best weapon to use against Python is the shotgun. It will knock him down and you can shoot him again before he gets back up. Additionally, the shotgun deals a lot of damage but does not require you to do any fancy moves.

To unlock the Stealth camo, which renders the user invisible, you have to beat the game with a combined Tech level of 99.
All you have to do is set the time bomb at the power substation and then, instead of going to the silo entrance, go somewhere else such as the prison. Then abort and Roy will yell at you and say that you have to plant another bomb. Rinse and repeat for all the highly trained soldiers you need. Btw 60 deployments is when your hp stops increasing.

First of all, you must not have Paramedic.
Then you must put in the code used to o0btain her via password.
If you do this, you will receive Paramedic with an MK22.
Take the MK22 off her then discharge her.
Go back to password input and put in the paramedic code again.
You should have Paramedic with another MK22.
Repeat until you have as many MK22's as you want.
to unlock major zero have a digital graphic novel save on your memory stick and complete the game

Cunningham: Beat Cunningham on ANY difficulty by stamina kill and beat the game before January 1st 1971 in game. You get him after you make a new game.
Elisa: Get a Medic level of 80.
Gene: Recruit 200 soldiers and stamina kill Gene all in one playthrough.
Major Zero: Have a MGS: DGN game save on your psp's memory stick. (Second Playthrough only)
Null: Kill Null by stamina kill or HP kill when you face him twice and beat the game. You get him after you make a new game.
Para Medic: Contact her on the radio on the Comm Tower stage. She will later need to be rescued in the hospital stage. Place spies in the hospital.
Python: Kill Python by stamina kill.
Raikov: Place spies in Western Wilderness before clearing the Guard House mission. Afterwards you should get a report of a handsome prisoner being held there.
Sigint: After Snake is captured and rescued you can contact Sigint on the radio at the Comm stage. He will need to be rescued in the town.
Sokolov: Give the Saturn V blueprints to Sokolov
Teliko: Have a MGA game save on your psp's memory stick. (Second Playthrough only)
