after you have complete the main game and beat the seperate ways, u've unlocked the 2nd special costumes for leon and ashley and the Chicago Typewriter, load the game using 2nd costume and buy the CT, if only u have 1000000 pesetas, and equip it then try to reload it, leon will adjusting his hat, eventually if u reload for 5 times he will start to throw his hat above and put it back in like Micheal Jacson.

Note: after u beat the main game once and u want to play the seperate ways, i suggest u to save seperately, don't overwrite the main game save files.

When you are fighting krauser, try not to use much ammo, until you get the second holy piece. This is because after you get the second holy piece, Krauser grows this sheild-like thing out of his arm, and he planted C4 on the building, and you only have a few minutes to beat him. After the cutscene, you should have plenty of ammo, so shoot him in the shins until he goes down, then unload on him. My suggestion is to use the mine thrower and shoot him in the face when you get him down.

Better use the knife, before getting to the second insignigia. Because knife gets Krauser throw a flashgrenade and dissappear pretty fastly. Just dont let him get a grip of your head, because if he does, and you manage not to escape the hold.. Well, you guess, right? In the third insignigia (beating Krauser. Last time for Leon, that is), it should be basic stuff. The knife is VERY useful in the encounters before getting the second insignigia.

In the boss battle with Bitores Mendez there are two levels bottom floor and top floor. Start off by going straight to the ladder. Climb it and go to the left. There are some boards that are blocking the way of the middle of the place you are fighting. Get behind these boards and look down, now while Mendez is in his first form he will just be walking looking up and walking at you but hes walking towards the wall.

Now if you would like to finish him off quickly just shoot him with the shotgun or rifle. If you want to conserve ammo just use your pistol. Now in Mendezes second form its a bit more tricky but its possible. Make sure that Mendez is on your left of the boards and your in the right corner and if positioned right he will extend his claw and try to hit you but fail and he will continue to do this like a glitch. Same as the other way if you would like to finish him off quickly then shoot shotgun shells or rifle at him. Or to conserve ammo just finish him off with your handgun. Get your reward when your done.

Go through the door and begin the Target Practice game. Select Game Type A to begin a game. During certain portions of the game, other blue doors similar to this can be found. Enter them and finsh the Target practices by fetting 3000 points or higher to get 6 bottle caps. After you get 6, talk to the merchant and end the game. If you collected 6 different caps of the same game type, you will get some pesetas.

This is a way to make doctor salvador appear twice in pueblo, effectively giving you twice the rewards if you kill him. This is not recommended for inexperienced players. When you enter the town of pueblo and see the ganados burning the cop, ignore them and run up the path near the tower. Dr Salvador will be standing at the top to block your way. Kill him to get a ruby worth 10,000 pesetas, or you may get 10,000 pesetas in the form of gold bars. Then go to the 2 storey house and watch the cutscenes. Doctor Salvador will appear again outside, as though you never killed him in the first place. Kill him again to get another 10,000 pesetas/ruby.
Recommended tactics for killing him are the shotgun at close range.

Go to the top of the barn (located next to the house where you found the shotgun in the main game). There is also a timer under the ladder, and a chest above, and up the ladder. Go up there and wait for the Los Illuminados to come to you. When they are mostly packed in, shoot the barrel inside and jump down quickly. Get what they dropped. Get back up the ladder and repeat. Note: Do not throw a grenade while there is a flame barrel down there; it will not do twice the damage. Also, be careful of the Chainsaw Hags that appear. They will cut off your head if you get too close. It is best if you are Hunk or Krauser to use the neck break; and the transformation of Krauser's arm, which kills them in one hit. With Ada or Wesker, use their sniper rifles until they are both gone, then jump down, With Leon try grenades, but it is very difficult.

The best way to complete the game in Professional mode is to first complete the Separate Ways mini-game. You will unlock Ashley's knight costume and Leon's gangster costume. Selecting Ashley's knight costume makes Professional mode a lot easier. Ashley cannot be injured or carried away. Use her for bait when needed. At least half the enemies will go directly for her, giving you time to kill them and keep your distance from a crowd. This also works well on El Gigante.

Here is a way to kill Gannados outside of Bitores house:

Make sure you triggered the cutscene with Ada saving you from Bitores. The window by the desk will be broken. You can easily snipe the Gannados. (I wouldn't reccomend sniping the chainsaw Gannado first). The chainsaw Gannado won't notice then you can snipe him. He and the Gannado with grey hair will come into house. Use the rifle to kill them. (and yes I mean inside) You will get a ruby from from chainsaw Gannado.

At the beginning of the game, if you leave a hen alone in Pueblo they should lay at least one golden egg (which fully restores health when used). Go to the weapon/health screen and select the egg. It should allow you to equip the egg. At the screen, Leon will throw the egg up and down, looking smug. Additionally, the golden egg is the best healing item, as it fully heals you and only takes one space in your case.

When you go to your inventory, press Triangle on a Red/Green/Yellow herb, and place it over another herb. Then press X (Or triangle) and the herb that you were holding will mix with the other herb! Note: Save your game before each encounter when trying to see the following death scenes:

Betrayal: When you are in the cabin surrounded by Ganados, shoot Luis Sera about five to eight times. An intermission sequence will begin.

Chief Mendez: In the barn fight, do not evade his grab in the intermission sequence.

Del Lago (before fighting him): Stand on the dock by the lake where you fight the giant alligator (Del Lago). Fire your shotgun into the water several times. Eventually, Del Lago will come out and eat you.

Del Lago (when fighting him): After getting knocked out of the boat, swim back until you are just in reach of the boat. Del Lago will appear from underneath. Additionally, after killing Del Lago, do not cut the rope.

Giant insects: Let them vomit on you.

"It": "It" has three ways of killing Leon. The first is when he is on the roof. He will grab Leon and snap his neck. Another is when he has the scissors tail. He will grab Leon by the legs and cut him in half. The finwl way happens after the three cages fall and the final fight on the cliff side begins. Shoot him until he goes underground. Allow him to kill you when he pops from under you.

Knife fight: At the end, let him press the knife through the cavity.

Molotov cocktails: In the beginning of the game, go up the ladder into the tower and wait for the villagers to burn you alive.

Prison Boss: Have low life and let him kill you with the first hit of his charge. He should impale you twice.

Regenerators: Both normal and spiked varieties have their own style of killing Leon.

Sometimes even when it's down, when you move towards it, the Regenerator will attack you, making you loose a lot of health. But after shaking it off, it will fall face down again. Now equip the knife and simply start slashing at its body until the Plagas start exploding one by one. Eventually, they will all explode making the whole regenerator explode too.

The knife may seem like a useless weapon at first, when there are still too many enemies to content with and your handgun just does'nt fire fast enough! But with enough practise, it can be a deadly and useful ally.

First thing is to determine when to use the knife and when NOT to. Mostly it's common sense. Few things:

DO NOT attempt to knife a chainsaw wielding foe (Dr. Salvador, The Bella Sisters) when they are upright. They will take the strike and remove your head in a spray of blood.

DO NOT knife anyone in the gut. Go for the head and the legs. The former does most damage, while the latter drops Ganados well, sometimes faster than a salvo of precious bullets.

DO NOT attempt to knife the creatures that grow out of decapitated Ganados. The bladed type will simply slash you to hell, and the worm type with suck your head off if you get close enough to use the knife. Stick with bullets here.

As for places to use the blade, think logically. Bascially;

1) If the enemy cannot hurt you

2) If the enemy cannot move

HIT IT WITH THE KNIFE! There's no point wasting the sparse ammo you find on downed Ganados. I know it's an immediate reaction when first aproaching the game to want every Ganado dead asap, but think ammo concious.

Now, onto knife moves. There is strictly only one knife move; the horizontal slash. But it can be used very effectively. A slash to the legs, followed by another to the head can drop a Ganado surprisingly well, either leaving him/her open for a nice kick or you free to tackle his/her compadriots.

Finally, your immediate reaction when knifing an enemy is to tap the X button as fast as you can. This, in fact reduces the speed at which you slash. Instead, HOLD the X button for the fastest and most continuous slash. The rest is up to you!

In the section right after the merchant, there's no need to waste a bullet for the first wave of Ganados. As soon as you open the doors to the area, cross the bridge and run by both shacks to a shooting perch near the exit door. That's right, don't stop to shoot anyone! Dodge the two zombies at the entrance. You actually might want to shoot the bomb guy who's on top of the shack to your right. But focus your attention on the Ganados climbing up the ladder-they're defenseless! Just knife them, they'll fall a couple times and then die. Run down to get items in between waves. And take time to kill the bomb guy above your head. I suggest doing it the first chance you have. Shoot him and drop off your post.

The main monsters to look out for are the two chainsaw ladies on stage 1. Once you kill them, they keep coming back. On stage 2 and 3 be careful of the guys with the chain guns. On stage 4, there is a super chainsaw man. He is bigger than the normal one and has a twin bladed saw. He is almost impossible to stop. He does not climb ladders. He jumps to where he needs to be. He will run at you, swinging the saw. Do not run past him. Turn and jump down if you can, or climb something quickly. If you really want to get past him, try using Jack Krauser's transformation, and aim right at him. If you miss, you are dead. Additionally, Krauser's transformation will kill anyone in one hit as long as you are close enough. Also Flash Bang, Kick are very good for crowds with Krauser. These two things will make Krauser the easiest to get five stars with.

Dont get rid of the regular handgun from the begining. When you upgrade it all the way, the chance you can kill with one bullet in the head is enhanced by 500%. I noticed this when I went and started a new round and took off everything, but the handgun. then fully upgraded it. If you do this, he will give you the Punisher, which will shoot straight through one enemy and into another. However, there are a total of 15 blue medallions in two different areas. Wait until you get all the medallions before you talk to him though, because you won't be able to go back and get the free upgrade later.

Chapter 2-1 puzzle
Before the end of the chapter, there is a puzzle in the church. The puzzle is a simple mix of colors. Three different designs surround the main design. The colors are red, green, and blue. When you enter the church, turn to the left and go down the little hall. Climb the ladder. When you are up there, you will see that the way to the door is barred. You must get to the other side of the church by jumping on and off of the chandelier. On the other side, there is a set of switches. When you activate it, the puzzle starts. The goal is to turn the designs so when combined, they are the same as the middle design. Turn red twice, green three times, and blue once. When combined, it should create the design. Then, go in and grab Ashley.

If you go into the shooting range and aim carefully, a number of interesting things will happen:

1. In game types A and B, shoot the trees to the far left, birds will fly into the shooting gallery.

2. Also in game types A and B, shoot the wasp nest/bee hive on the far right, wasps... or bees... whatever... little buzzing insects will fly into the shooting gallery.

3. Still in game types A and B, shooting the chimney on the house in the center will cause the shooting gallery to be filled with smoke.

5. In game c be shooting the moon you will create a more nacturnal lighting( Lights turn blue in practice area) And by shooting the center peak of the castle you will create a cool fireworks display in the backround, setting the mood for more villager killing!!

6. Also in game C when you shoot the grassy peak beneath the middle chunk of the castle you will achieve Salazar's laughter.
