This technique is done by tapping the rear quarter panel of the car in front of you with your bumper to cause them to spin out and lose control. The police can use this technique against us, and vice versa, but it doesn't work against other racers.

You need to get a bit more creative and wreak havoc on human racers by grinding up against their cars while ripping down the track. The friction slows both your vehicles down slightly, but you can use this to your advantage with the help of some killer timing.

Once locked against another racer's car, look ahead on the track for features such as walls, oncoming traffic, or obstacles that you can send your opponent crashing into. You have the option of either trying to push them laterally into an object or pulling away from them while they're pushing back, in order to lead them into an obstacle on your side.

Either way, if both of you are traveling at high speeds when this crash occurs, you stand to gain at least several seconds on the crashed car while it recovers from such a disaster. Use this free time well and lock in a solid lead, and potentially even a huge victory.

I have beaten the game many times, the best cars I have used along the way were (to start off) Chevy Colbat, build it up, try to pick Sonny's pink slip for his VW Golf GTI, and then pick the Junkman marker at the end. Pick one ?marker and hope that is is extra cash or their pink slip, if you don't like their car you can just sell it and get money. Then pick the junkman marker saving the Junkman parts until you unlock the ultimate parts (ie:Ultimate tires then you add the junkman tires, ultimate brakes then you add the junkman brakes...etc)for the VW Golf. Also keep saving money to buy the Porsche Carrera GT (of course when you have beaten Ronnie #3) and if you need more money to buy all the parts just choose a race that you like that you have already beaten (pick one that pays more). So unlock all ultimate parts and build the VW Golf and add junkman parts and build the Porsche Carrera GT and then add the junkman parts. They are both extremely fast, great acceleration, and great handling. The best way for me to use the full potentials of the cars were to adjust my performance options like this...steering was 1 up from the middle, handling was 2 above,ride height was all the way to the left, brakes were still in the middle, aerodynamics were all the to the right, nitrous was all the way to the left and the turbo can be wherever you want (I leave it in the middle). I use those adjustments with every car.

For me, the best starting car was the Chevrolet Cobalt SS. It has just about everything you need to start the game off good and fairly easily. It has about average stats on everything and, for me it handled great. Also, out of the bunch I think it was the best looking, but of course, that's my opinion.

All you have to do is go to Custom Race and then to Lap Knockout. Pick the track Smugglers Wharf. It is the very last one. Now pick the race options: 1 lap, 1 opponent, easy difficulty etc. Now pick your very best car (mines the Carrera GT) do the race. Once you win do the exact same race in career mode. Its in #1: Razor. Do the race there. There are 3 other racers and they are hard difficulty but if you have the Carrera GT it is easy. You get 25,000 credits plus you can do it over and over. My best time was a minute 30 seconds. Thats the fastest race you can do for 25,000 credits. Enjoy your success to come!

There are 5 heat levels in a pursuit:

1: Civic police; this is just a basic pursuit.

2: Undercover civic police: this pursuit may include some road blocks.

3: State Police; this pursuit involves roadblocks, rolling blocks and light SUV Rhinos. The units are also stronger.

4: Undercover State Police; in this pursuit state helicopters are deployed, spikes are laid down next to the roadblocks, there are rolling blocks, and there are heavy SUV Rhinos.

5: Federal Units; in this pursuit, federal helicopters are deployed which sweep down and try to you off the road. There are heavy SUV Rhinos, spikes, and rolling blocks. The units in this pursuit are very strong.

There is also a heat level 6 but this can only be done in the last level. This consists of Sergeant Crosses street racing unit, plus some units from heat level 5 and 4.

When you complete the game and become the most wanted, heat level 5 will consist of both the federal units and Crosses street racing unit. Crosses street racing unit look like federal units except they have carbon hoods. They will surround you and try to box you in. Cross himself drives a black corvette.

6 never be afraid if you get chased by faster cop cars it just means more fun fun for you

7 and finally always ram them into stuff

these are what helped me get out of trouble with the cops when they were on my tail

ok get into a big fat pursiut, the more police the better, but if u got a chopper on the look out then ur in trouble.

once u got some followers, drive to the bus depot, it is close to a police station and looks like a big glass building. head inside the bilding, smashing through the glass, now look for 2 rapms inside the building, head up one of them.

at the top, there is a glass wall, drive slowly through it (fast enough to smash it) (this gets u damage to property)...

now drive ontop of the row of buses just outside the glass wall you just smashed. drive along the top of the buses and stop at the end but make sure your nose of the car sticks out so the police can see you.

while your there, the police cars are down below ramming themselves into the busses and smashing themselves up, hang here for a few minutes...i was there for so long that i went to get some lunch and changed of AV and watched some TV.

be carreful coz if ur unlucky one random police car might try to come up. if so just drive him off the buses and blow up a few cars below.

i racked up 160 000 bounty here. once u need to evade, just reverse off the buses back to the ramps and stick inside but up where the police wont get you.

If you're past blacklist 5 (webster) and you can get heat 5 than raise your heat to level 5. I would use a fast car like websters corvette or mings gallardo. Drive to the riverfront stadium(the one that doesn't have pursuit breakers on either side). Just keep driving around the stadium over and over again and don't go on to the main roads. the police get confused even if they are level 5 and they will set up road blocks on the main road which you can just drive past on the stadium road, there is even a hiding spot to get away from the cops. Trust me I used to find bounty hard but now its so easy i'm on razor and have 16,000,051 bounty! I even got 2 million bounty in one pursuit and it makes the milestones easy too. Just makes sure you dont crash or the cops WILL box you in!!
