Easier Battles

When you first start playing the game, you will see enemies showing up on your screen. If you can approach them, then swing your sword at them (X button) before they see you, you will get what is called a First Attack. You will have surprised the enemy and get a few good swings in before their battle meter will start filling.

Giving Gifts

When in Camp Mode always save your game BEFORE you start giving gifts to gain trust in your party. This way if you accidentaly give a bad gift, that decreases your companions trust in you, you can just reload your game and try again. Since you Save and Give Gifts (as well as talk) all in the same menu, this is very easy to do.

Items Marked With a Question Mark

Soon after you start playing you will encounter chests. These chests contain items, some of great worth, either for use by your party, to sell for more Fol, or to give as a gift in the Camp Screen.

You will notice that you will come across items that are listed as "<<<???>>>" Not a name of what the item actually is.

Go to a Fortune Teller and choose the "Apraise" prompt, to find out what it is. The Fortune Teller WILL charge you to do this, so keep an eye on your Fol, and only do a few at a time.

(The amount the Fortune Teller is going to charge you will be listed next to each unknown item.)

Sometimes these unknown items will be dropped in battle as well.
