Dont trade your 1st round draft pick for someone keep it until the 17th and after you play that week look for the team with the worst record and trade your 1st round pick for theres and your pick is always better even if your the best team so you can trade and you might even be able to get there 2nd pound draft pick as well
If u get 250 yds rushing and 100 yds passing and at the Superbowl, he'll be unlock to sign in the free agents, after you win the superbowl, also any legends that u see can be unlocked.
When you first start Franchise, if your defense is a little lacking in LB & CB positions, then do this to change that:
Before Training Camp, go to Free Agents, then choose the top two on the list, Ty Law:CB, and Jamie Sharper:LOLB, they can boost your defense up a notch.
NOTE: This is a tip for people new to the game, most veterans know who they are and can do this easily.
Hope this helps!
This way is very easy and it will never really backfire on you. You have your defensive line. Take a guy from one side. I usually take the Right End and move him over outside of the Left End. It works either way if you wanna move the Left End. Anyway now if there is no Tight End you can just get right in there and disrupt or sack the QB. Even if there is a Tight End on that side he is way easier to plow over than the lineman that you line up against at the start. The only way this will backfire is if they run the ball to the side that you just left open. Then there is one less guy to make a tackle and the CPU can get more yards or even a touchdown but if you have good DB's and LB's you should be fine.
Then try this! On pass plays, set at least one WR to a hitch route, then start. AI almost always stays in front, which gives you an oppurtunity. As soon as the WR turns around, PASS! Unless he has bad hands, he will catch the pass and the play should gain you another first down in the books.
NOTE: This may not work if defense has two men on your receiver, as one may be in front and one behind. To remedy this, check for man coverage, then do a hitch route on the WR least defended.
Hope this helps!
If you want to stop the clock while your team is hustling to make that play and don't want to waste a timeout or down simply hold L2 and the clock will stop until you release L2.
Alot of times when you perhaps tackle the RB and it is an obvious assertion that he was down before he fumbled you become bummed as the CPU will challenge the play as soon as you pick a play.
Don't pick a play.
Yes for some reason in the game, if you take 1 maybe two Delay of Game penalties the CPU will not challenge/be able to challenge any controversial turnover. Nifty little trick to beat the system.
Set your advertising budget as high as you like and play or sim your game. You can sim all games in a week except Monday Night Football, do not sim any Monday night games. Now go back into owner mode and set your advertising back to zero, then sim any remaining games on the schedule. You will get the added attendance and revenue of advertising but will not have to pay for it. Obviously this does not work if you are hosting Monday Night Football.
Use a 4-3 Defense and commit to the run. Put two OLB over the middle and put two DEs on flats and be the FS. Follow your opponents QB vision and stay in it. If he does not switch receivers you will pick it off every time.
