Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future Cheats & Tips

Upon entering Gallery, swim backwards with both Ecco and the camera facing away from the entrance/exit. At one point, you will only see half of Ecco. Back swim one more time. You are now on the outside of the Gallery. Swim around and explore. To reenter the gallery, find the black wall and swim through it.

Do the following (you will need a memory card).

Go to the [PLAYER MENU] screen and choose [NEW GAME].

Enter [GYU GYU ???] where ??? can be any three letters you want.

Press the [CIRCLE] button on the controller. If the cheat has worked then a plant on the left side of the screen will release a huge stream of bubbles.

Press the [X] button to create the save file, then return to the main menu.

If you go to the [LEVEL SELECT] screen you will find that ALL of the levels have been unlocked. You may now select any level you want.

Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press X(2), Circle(2), X, Circle, Up, Down(2) at the title screen.

Go to the Powers Of Levitation level and find your way to the room where the clan General (the dolphin that has the inspection) is located. Swim through the side of the wall that moves like Jello. On the floor near one of the orange lights is a soccer ball. Get it, then go to the level selection screen. An option for the Dolphin Soccer mini-game will appear at the bottom of the list.

Go to the "Gallery" and head to the "Man's Nightmare" area (mechanical area). Look around the room to find two wheels. If you use your sonar on them, they will move. Quickly use your Sonar on both. If done correctly, the large metal circular object in the middle of the room will pop up slowly and reveal a secret passage. It leads under the Gallery to a room underneath the "Domain of the Enemy" area (alien area). The purpose of this new area is unknown, but may have something to do with the ugly thing hanging from the ceiling of the alien area.

After you get back into Anguish of dearth when the sharks are chasing you if you go underneath one of the the things where the resistance swim around then you might get stuck and end up outside the level!

Dolphin soccer
On the Powers of Levitation level, swim to the large central building underwater, and circle it until you find the Information Shard. Enter the structure here, and head down the tunnel until you find an oval door near the bottom. This passage is divided by doors that dilate open when you get near them. Head straight down the tunnel until you reach the room at the end. There you will find a clan member and a bubbler in the center of the chamber. Turn and face the entrance, and you will notice an oval section of wall to the left moving slightly in the current. Swim through it to find a secret room. Inside is a stealth power-up. Take it and return straight back. There is a pair of yellow lights at the back of the room. Touch your nose to the right one to be taken to Dolphin's World Championship soccer match.
