To fall through the level, it takes skill and precision.
Drop down to another road, then get an enemy to shunt you quickly (in the back).
If done correctly, you will fall through the level.

When playing crash mode, you have to get the bar to the green spots to get a perfect start, but if you get it in the red spots, you engine will blow.

When looking at the Crash cam, try to find the perfect place to crash at, that way you'll have much more points.

Just before you are about to crash, do a Takedown on any vehicle to have temporary invincibility.

To get fairly easy golds on Traffic Attack, don't boost! Just ride at top speed (without boosting), and it is much easier to stay alive. Only boost if:

a. You have less than 5 seconds left and there aren't any checkable vehicles around

b. You are on a straight with no checkable traffic around.
