Village Chief
To get a village chief, drag each of your villagers to the podium in the ampitheatre. Behind it will hang a cloak. Each villager will then try on the cloak and it will randomly fit a single villager. This villager then becomes the village chief.

The village chief does not do any work but if you drag them to the food bin they can create magic food once every 24 hours. Also, if you drag them to a work station they will direct others working to increase productivity.

Only one villager can be chief at a time and when the chief eventually dies the cloak will be back at the ampitheatre, ready to be tried on again by the next village chief.

Building skill glitch
This only works if you haven't completed the "Roster Of The Dead" puzzle:

Go to the lower right hand corner of the map and place one of your villagers on the leaves. If you put them in the right place then the action will read as "clearing leaves.'' Be locked unto the villager and when ever it reads that they have improved in construction immediately move them back unto the leaves and repeat the process. If you do it right then you will never clear the leaves unto they put them unto the ground and you will have an unlimited source for leveling up your villagers' building skills.

Farming skill glitch
If you still have honey left in the beehive, Bring your farmer to the beehive and make him or her get some honey. Now when it says "Your villager has gained more skill!" (I believe thats what it says) click your villager again and put him or her on the beehive. You wont lose any food, and it makes the villager get more farming skill, quickly and easily.
