When the Beserker is chasing you run, next to the smashable doors, then move back and he will smash them down for you. Once you're out of the tomb, simply use the Hammer of Dawn on him. It takes a few shots, but is very effective!

Note: Beserkers are blind, so if you do stay near him he will attack by using his strong smell.
