While in a game do the following.
Step 1: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".
Step 2: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permenently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from apearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)
If you want to remove a word from your filter type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.
There is also a file located in your Diablo II directory named "ignorelist" that file can be opened and edited with notepad++ and maybe notepad as well, you can add and remove words from your in game ignore list from there too.
It should also be said you can permanently squelch a user by using their character or account name as the filtered word.

Diablo II: The Lord of Destruction Tips
When playing this game it is obvious that you want your characters to have the best equipment they can possibly have!Andariel (Hell)
To do this you must MF otherwise known as Magic Finding.
In Diablo II Lord of Destruction there are many many many bosses that you can kill. Each one of them dropping different items each time you kill them.
As an experienced Diablo II LOD player I would like to list to you some of the best bosses to MF.
This list shows which bosses will drop the best items for your characters, good luck to all of you!
Once you have all of the organs that you get from all 3 of the ubers portal put them into the horadric cube IN ANY ORDER and click trasmute. This should open up the Uber Tristram portal allowing you to attack the 3 evil brothers Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal. Once you kill all three of them a Hell Fire Torch will drop!
If you are beginer, I would recommend you to start with Paladin. He is most easier to play and he is strong. You have a skill tree. When you level up first pick up sacrafise, until you be level 12 then just pick zeal.Zeal + Fanatism. That is a Paladin called Zealer.
Another easy class to play is the necro, aka fishymonger pure summoner build, max skelletons, skelleton mastery, skelly mage and also put some points into summon resist. whilst you're there put a few points into amplify damage and decrepify it'll help your summon damage you can also gain yourself a golum if you like and also revives is another good skill to use.
Don't throw away stats on every magic just to try.Take a good look at every magic, and see which thing is best.
On Normal is very easy to play. After comlete start playing on harder difficult, you will be able to get better items. If you are strong for them you these- press enter and type- players 8 - that will make your enemies 8 times more powerful and you will get 8 times more experience.
cows are available when you beat baal in each of normal/nightmare/hell, once you beat him in norm you can make cows in norm, beat him in nightmare you can make them in nm etc etc. The recipy to gain access to the farm is a leg of wirt from a young boy, available from tristram and combine it with 5 scrolls of town portal in horadric cube.Click the button and you will see portal that leads to cow level
Starting in v1.10, the Countess (Act 1) always gives at least one rune. Kill her to get alteast one rune.

Create a lightning sorceress and then equip an act 2 mercenary with the rune word Infinity. This will up your damage A TON and take away all enemies lightning resistance.
This is very helpful for Hell! You can take on any boss/moster with a mercenary equipped Infinity!
for all those who are just beginning to play diablo lod..here is a tip to kill any monster easily...
first, pick a paladin... of the three skill branches only use offensive auras and combat skills...
level up sacrifice until you're level six... then add thorns...level up both of these skills to level 7 at least, then learn-but don't level up-the combat skills zeal and blessed hammer...just the vengeance!!
learn the level 24 combat skill, then keep leveling vengeance until you reach level 30,where you'll learn hand of lightning...
at the early levels, increase dex and strength, whwn you hit level 20 start adding to your energy...

if you combine the 3 key's you'll gain a portal to one of the 3 uber bosses domains, there you'll gain one of 3 organs, it's when you put all 3 organs in the cube and transmute them you'll get access to uber tristram.
If you do the key's all in one game you will garantee to get all 3 domains otherwise you could waste your time and get the same portal in more than one game, wasted keys
this all has to be done in act 5 hell
Buy an act 3 Mercenary (any aura) and equip him with a Dragon shield and a Dragon armor (both runewords just in different types of items) and Dream (helm) and Hand of Justice (sword). Once all of those are equipped on your merc take on and off the HOJ (hand of justice) about 80 times. Then do the same with the Dream helm. This will "stack" the auras making your mercenary irregularly strong!
Note: as of patch 1.11 a or b this glitch no longer works!
Old items New item
3 Perfect Gems + 1 Charm = 1 new Charm
3 Perfect Gems + 1 Jewel = 1 new Jewel

3 Perfect Gems + 1 Amulet = 1 Magical Amulet

3 Perfect Gems (any type) + 1 Magic Item = 1 New Magic Item of the same type.
NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS WITH BLIZZARD/METEOR SORCERESSES.
Get to the catacombs level 4 and clear out the room to your left. Once clear, enter Anariels room if front of you. Lure her to the door in which you entered her area. Close the door when she's near it. Cast your blizzards/meteors again and again until the screen starts to shake.
YOu killed her with ease!
My method for catching$killing meph is that lure him to the river and u get on the other side. then u have to have far distance shots to be able to do this. fire till he dies and he should never be in range to hit u. this will make meph runs easyer and safer enjoy
should you really have vard time killing a certain boss, especially the main bosses on every act, with your necromancer, this is what i suggest.
1st things first, you have to make sure that your belt is full of potions, especially mana, you'll really need it for this.
if you're good to go, go to who ever boss you wanna go to (if you have a range mercenary with you, that's better) take out 1st any one that might interrupt you. this move will work whenever the boss is range or melee. in the fight, trap the boss with the Bone Prison. if your Bone Prison is very low in level, you got no choice but to hold down the right mouse button in the boss. in this way, not only he will be distracted. He can barely move, and he will just keep attacking the walls, and if it's ranged, the walls will absorb or catch their ranged attacks. keep doing this 'till you're sure that the walls will give you time to attack em with rangery. (I frequently use Bone spear in these situations) this move is very glutton in mana, especially if you're bone prison s in very low lvl. if the walls wear down, you know what to do. re-summon those walls, and TORTURE EM AGAIN!!!

Power Leveling- Gaining the maximum amount of experience you can at the level you are at.
There's 2 ways to Power Level. 1 way is to get Glitch rushed to hell and do Dialbo runs over and over again. But that can get boring and difficult for the person who is doing the diablo runs with you. Once level 60 from doing "chaos runs" (diablo runs) do your hell ancients quest and then do baal runs until you're level 99.
The other way is when you start out in normal and do tristram runs until you are level 15, at level 15 do Tomb runs until level 20. At level 20 to cow runs until level 24 and at level 24 you should do your ancients quest so you can go do baal runs until level 40. At level 40 go to nm and do your ancients quest to get to level 41. then do baal runs in nightmare until level 60. at level 60 go to hell and do your ancients quest. then baal run until level 99!
There is so many different types of items out there in the Diablo world... which ones are the best for my hammerdin? That's what you're asking yourself! Well I've taken the time to list the perfect gear for your hammerdin to wear!
Boots: Ethereal Sandstorm Treks
Amulet: Mara's with 30 to all resistances
Shield: Um'd Herald of Zarakum
Weapon: Heart of the oak flail with 40 to all resistances
Armor: Enigma, any defense is fine :-\
Belt: Arachnid Spiderweb sash
Rings: 2 Stone of Jordans
In your inventory you should have this:
9 Paladin combat skill grand charms
A Paladin Torch
An Annihilus small charm
10, 20 life small charms
Hopefully that will help you on your search to find the best paladin gear ever!
Ok, I know if u haven't played D2 in a while, and gotten back on its pretty confusing. B4 you didn't have to be certain levels to get to the hell difficulty. Now there’s a whole set of new rules, and experience is different too. OK first off, to even the challenge the ancients normal difficulty, u have to be at least level 20, 40 in nightmare, and 60 in hell, and they no longer give u 5 levels at these points anymore, instead u get one, and the right to enter the Worldstone Keep and throne of destruction. K by now your still in normal, and your level 21, u want to go to act 3 and level up in the travincal, until your lvl 25. Right after that, it all becomes easy, from the forums choose to join a game, something that will usually say something about Baal, enter, and do Baal runs with a lot of ppl, unless your char is really strong, u might want to just sit back away from all the killing and stuff, and just get exp until your level 40, then kill Baal, then enter nm, and beat it, and do Baal runs in nightmare, until level 60, then do hell Baal runs until u got urn char as high as u want him to go, (highest is 99)

This is still either by luck or is it? Well, anyway, when you fight Meph or Diablo, if you use one potion of each, sometimes the boss will drop two decent items... sometimes even two really nice unique items.
one of the easiest ways to kill the ubers is with a necro.
This build is easy, fast, cheap. and best of all, its not a paladin build.
ok so here is how you do it.
20 skeleton mastery
20 clay golem
1 into every curse
Enigma (this is the only piece of equipment that is required)
Act 2, holy freeze. (works well with clay golem)
Now the secret to summoners is knowing what to revive.
Blunder boars, these are the big giants with clubs, they have crushing blow on attack.
Now once you revive 20 or more of these Blunder Boars (depending on what act your in they have different names, they can be found in act2, 3, 4, & 5,)
Go to uber tristram, with 20+ skeleton, clay golem, merc, and your boars.
Teleport onto any uber, and which ever one you teleport onto should die within a few seconds, after it dies, teleport on the next one, it dies, then the last, and it will die.
All and all all 3 ubers can be killed within 15-30 seconds if its executed right.

Diablo II: The Lord of Destruction Cheats
Back to top
1. View debug information:
Begin a game and push ENTER to go to the talk mode, now type fps. The ping time, frame skip , and frames per second will appear in the upper left corner.
2. Sound debug:
Push ENTER to open the chat screen, then submit (type) SoundChaosDebug and you will hear a sound to confirm you have entered the code correctly. To return to normal, repeat the code.
3. Get more experience:
Join a Battle.net or other multi-player game and join a party. You and your partner will share experience. The more people in the party, the more experience everyone gets.
Use the following trick to get eight times the experience. The host of the game must do the following. Press ENTER to enter talk mode and type players 8. Then, press ENTER and type player 8 in a different message box. Note: Although you will get eight times the experience for each kill, the monsters will also be eight times stronger. You can gain experience quickly but you must be careful to avoid dying. Note: This trick only works off of realms.
The players 8 and player 8 trick does work for single player by just typing them in and prepare for some tough enemies.
4. Secret Cow level:
Beat Baal under same difficulty that you are making the cow level in. Take Wirt's Leg (found in Tristram) and a Tome Of Town Portals and put them in the Horadric Cube. You must transmute them in Act 1.
5. Get any item
Use this trick to get almost any desired item. Go to the person in your highest Act that gambles (for example, Gheed or Jamella). Go to gamble. A list of good items will appear. If you do not see anything desirable, exit, then go to gamble again. There will be a new list of items for sale. Repeat the process until you have found what you want.

First thing you do is you go into your Diablo folder in your computer. Then you go into the "save" folder in the Diablo directory. Then you take all the files that have the name of your character and copy them into a file on your desktop. You should now have two versions of your file. Then you play Fiablo on multiplayer, give the other person the item/s you want to duplicate then quit, take the file in the save folder and get rid of it now take you second version of the save (it still has the gems), put it in the folder, play Diablo on the multiplayer find the guy and ask him to give you your stuff back.
When you have it back it is duplicated.
Thank you for reading my cheat!

If the player puts certain combinations of Runes in the correct order into an item with exactly that number of sockets and of the correct item type, the item's name will change into a "unique" name, displayed in gold, and the item will acquire extra powers, depending on the "rune word" that was used. The benefits of using a Rune Word is that you can make the Rune Word's magical bonuses apply to any type of item allowed with the proper number of sockets. You could, for example, use an Elite Socketed sword or an Exceptional Socketed sword, and you can also pick which type of sword is used. Uniques, in comparison, use the same item type such as short sword, and are always the same quality (Normal/Exceptional/Elite). You can continue to find better Socketed weapons or armor and, with the proper Runes, continue to have this Rune Word bonus applied to better and better Socketed items as you find them.
Rune Words are an advanced feature for experienced users. However, anyone can create a Rune Word if they take the time to read/learn enough about them to assemble the Rune Words properly.
Rune Word Rules
When you create a Rune Word you still receive all of the magical bonuses that were already on each Rune you Socketed.
Socketed Items must have the exact number of sockets as the Rune Word formula requires. If the Rune Word is a 3 Rune formula then you must use an item with exactly 3 sockets. A 4 socket item will not work with a 3 socket formula.
The Socketed Item type must be the correct item type for the formula. If the formula requires a sword, the formula will not work if you use an axe or spear.
Rune Words will only work in Socketed non-magical items. This means that Set Items, Unique Items, or Magic Items with enough Sockets and the proper item type will not allow or convert to Rune Words. Again, they will not work on Magic, Set, Unique or Rare items. So if you have a Mechanic's (or Jewelers item) piece of armor with 2 slots, the Stealth will not work on it because it's magical.
The correct Runes for a formula must be used. If one of the Runes is wrong you receive the bonuses of the Runes inserted but it does not become a Rune Word.
The Rune IO looks a lot like LO. Make sure you use the correct one.
Rune Words will not work in Wirt's Leg
The Runes must be placed in the correct order. You can have the correct Socketed item, correct runes and still not activate the Rune Word if you do not socket the Runes in the correct order. This is because you're trying to spell the "Rune Word" correctly and you have spelled it incorrectly. Example: "RalOrtTal". You must first place Ral, then Ort, then finally Tal into the Socketed Item.
You need the right patch for the formulae to work. Make sure you have the latest patch.
If you use superior socketed items, the damage and stats might be higher than shown because you will get the bonus from those items too.
The Rune Words listed also list the bonuses of the individual Runes with the Rune Word bonuses.
Q: Can you add the level limits on the Rune Words?
A: Actually these would change depending on what item was used so they were not added.
Required Item Types for Formulae
Make sure you read this so you'll use the right items.
Body Armor = Any armor that is worn on your chest and not any type of other armor such as boots, helms, gloves, etc.
Helms = Any armor that is worn on the head, including helms, Barbarian Helms, Druid Pelts, and Circlets.
Shield = Any armor that can be used to block, including shields, Necromancer Shrunken Heads, and Paladin Shields.
Clubs = Club, Spiked Club, and Exceptional/Elite versions.
Hammers = War Hammer, Maul, Great Maul, and Exceptional/Elite versions. These will not work in mace recipes even though they are listed on the mace page.
Maces = Mace, Morning Star, Flail, and Exceptional/Elite versions. This does not include any other types of Maces. Make sure you read about Hammers above. They are not "maces" in the case of Runewords.
Melee Weapons = Most weapons that aren't ranged such as a Sword or Hammer. A Bow or Crossbow is a ranged weapon and is not in this category. Sorceress Orbs are not considered Melee Weapons. Melee Weapons: Hand-to-Hand, Blunt, Combo Weapon, Polearm, Spear, Knife, Sword, Axe. Hammers (see above) are considered Blunt weapons, and will not work in Melee Weapon recipes, even though they technically are a melee weapon. This includes Clubs, Hammers, Maces, Staves and Rods which are excluded from Melee Weapons.
Missile Weapons = Bows and Crossbows.
Weapons = Melee Weapons, Missile Weapons, Orbs.
Scepters = Scepter, Grand Scepter, War Scepter, and Exceptional/Elite versions.
Staves - Mean Staves and not other items that are Staff class weapons like Wands.
Keep in mind when experimenting with unknown Rune Words that you must be prepared to accept the loss of your Runes if the formula does not work. Rune Words must be inserted into the correct item for the formula in the correct order. Blizzard cannot restore lost items for any reason including due to your failure to properly create a Rune Word. Rune Word failures are caused by using the wrong items, Runes, or Rune order. A few times the formula has been listed wrong on the following pages, but most (99%) of reported errors are caused by failure to understand the formula. The following formulae on these pages may contain errors, including listing the wrong formulas. Be sure you read all of this page including the bottom page notes for complete information.
Some of you may know that it is pretty hard to level up when you are level 90 and up. This is a great way, + there is a reward. Once you are high level enough (90 and up), create a PRIVATE hell game (with password) and defeat the countess, the summoner and/or Nihlathak. There is a slight chance (1 on 15) that the countess drops a key of terror, that the summoner drops a key of hate, and/or that Nihlathak drops a key of destruction. If not, create new game and start over. Once you have THREE of each key, transmute one of each at the same time to create a uber portal. Once you have created the three, you will enter one at a time to defeat the boss in each, which are uber Duriel, uber Izual and uber Lilith (Andariel's cousin). Once you kill each of the three bosses, they will each drop one of three artifacts: Mephisto's brain, Baal's eye or Diablo's horn. Once you have collected each, transmute them and a portal for uber Tristram will appear. There, you will level pretty fast and you will have to kill uber Mephisto, uber Diablo and uber Baal. Once you kill them all, search and you will find a Hellfire torch.

Automatically go to Battle.net:
Start the game with the -skiptobnet command line parameter
Level 33 starting character:
Start the game with the -Act5 command line parameter. If done correctly, you will have all skill points and attribute points. This works on the Barbarian, Assassin, Amazon, and Druid. However, you will only have the base inventory and no waypoints. Take the waypoint back to the Rogue encampment.
Note: This works for all characters with v1.10 of the game.

1 Ort Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal (Basic) Rare Weapon = Exceptional Rare Weapon
1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Normal (Basic) Rare Armor = Exceptional Rare Armor
1 Fal Rune + 1 Um Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Exceptional Rare Weapon = Elite Rare Weapon
1 Ko Rune + 1 Pul Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Exceptional Rare Armor = Elite Rare Armor
1 Ort Rune + Weapon = Fully Repaired Weapon
Use this Rune + Your Horadric Cube to repair your weapon. You cannot repair Ethereal items.
1 Ral Rune + Armor = Fully Repaired Armor
Use this Rune + Your Horadric Cube to repair your armor. You cannot repair ethereal armor.
1 Hel Rune + Scroll of Town Portal + Any Socketed Item = Remove items from sockets
Warning: This will destroy any gems, runes, or jewels you have socketed. This is useful if you are not happy with the gems you have socketed and you want to socket the item in another way.
1 Ort Rune + 1 Chipped Gem (any kind) + Weapon = Fully Repaired and Recharged Weapon
You cannot repair ethereal weapons.
1 Ral Rune + 1 Flawed Gem (any kind) + Armor = Fully Repaired and Recharged Armor
You cannot repair ethereal armor. Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields, not just body armor
Ral Rune + 1 Sol Rune + 1 Perfect Emerald + Normal Unique Weapon = Exceptional Version of Weapon
This formula changes the base item type from the normal to exceptional version. For example an Axe is turned into a Cleaver. This does NOT convert the item to the Exceptional Unique version of the Unique Item. Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded. This can be used to upgrade Ethereal Items also. They will continue to be Ethereal after they are upgraded. Also if the item is socketed, then jewels or runes and their mods will also remain.
1 Tal Rune + 1 Shael Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Normal Unique Armor = Exceptional Version of Armor
This formula changes the base item type from the normal to exceptional version. For example Quilted Armor is turned into Ghost Armor. This does NOT convert the item to the Exceptional Unique version of the Unique Item. So you cannot for example use this formula to transform Greyform into The Spirit Shroud. Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded. This can be used to upgrade Ethereal Items also. They will continue to be Ethereal after they are upgraded. Also if the item is socketed, then jewels or runes and their mods will also remain. Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields, not just body armor.
1 Lum Rune + 1 Pul Rune + 1 Perfect Emerald + Exceptional Unique Weapon = Elite Version of Weapon (Single Player, Ladder Only)
This formula changes the base item type from the exceptional to elite version. For example a Cleaver is turned into a Small Crescent. This does NOT convert the item to the Elite Unique version of the Exceptional Unique Item. Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded. This can be used to upgrade Ethereal Items also. They will continue to be Ethereal after they are upgraded. You cannot do this formula unless you are using a Ladder Character. Also if the item is socketed, then jewels or runes and their mods will also remain.
1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor (Ladder Only)
This formula changes the base item type from the exceptional to elite version. For example Ghost Armor is turned into a Dusk Shroud. This does NOT convert the item to the Elite Unique version of the Unique Item. Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields, not just body armor.

In Act IV, when you are up to the second quest where you must destroy Mephistos Soulstone, drop it from you inventory to the ground, then go talk to Decard Cain; he will say he picked up the Soulstone before he entered the Infernal Gate, and kept it for you. You now have two Soulstones! For now, you can't hold two at a time, but if you destroy one at the Hellforge before quitting, you can pick the other one up and keep it as a souvenir!
