To unlock the game's cheats you must do the following:
First you need to complete at least one level at the campaign mode and then go to the challenges mode and complete all the challenges that are related to it. As soon as you do that you will be informed that a cheat has been unlocked. To activate it go to the options menu and select the cheats menu at the bottom. From here you can turn the unlocked cheats on but keep in mind that no proggress will be made in the game if you have even one cheat enabled.
