Pokémon Stadium Cheats
In the Round 2 version of the game Mew will become playable as a "Rental" Pokémon. He can only be played in the Prime Cup tournament, Gym Leader's Castle, Free Battle, and Mewtwo Battle modes.
You must beat the Gym Leader Castle and get trophies in all 10 tournaments in the Stadium Mode to unlock a hidden 6-on-1 battle with Mewtwo. The map screen will now turn to a night scene and a bonus tournament will open up in which you battle against the psychic super-Pokemon, Mewtwo (#150). Once you beat Mewtwo, you unlock a new game mode.
To get into the GB Tower (the GB stands for Game Boy), you must complete the Prime Cup and the Poké Cup. You can play your Pokémon game pak for Game Boy on the Nintendo 64 in the GB Tower.
To enable the Doduo GB in the GB tower you must beat the prime cup in all four level difficulties. The Doduo GB lets you walk and ride your bike in super speed.
Open Up R-2 Mode
To get the secret R-2 Mode (as well as a brand-new title screen) defeat Mewtwo after you have beaten the Stadium Mode and Gym Leader Castle Mode. You will now see the final credits sequence, which will unlock the harder R-2 Mode and all new battles. You can toggle between R-2 and Regular Mode at the start-up screen by pressing C-Right.
Alternate Pokémon Colors
Pokémon that you upload from the Game Boy version can have alternate colors. Giving your Pokémon various nicknames will change their colors. Switch syllables, such as calling a "Mewtwo" to "Twomew" (blue color). Separate the syllables with a hyphen, such as "Mewtwo" to "Mew-two". Also try naming the Pokémon in all lower-case characters. To find out more methods, note the color of the opposing Pokémon and look at their nicknames.
Beat Mewtwo Easily
To beat Mewtwo easily just get a level 100 Snorlax. Teach it Selfdestruct. Then give Snorlax the max amount of Calcium and iron and when you get to Mewtwo just Selfdestruct. Mewtwo should almost die so just put in another guy with Selfdestruct and use it.
Kids Club Hyper Mode
In one player mode with three CPU controlled opponents, successfully complete "Who's the best?" five consecutive times on the hard difficulty setting within one match. Hyper will be unlocked as a new difficulty setting for CPU controlled players.
Once you have beaten both the R-1 mode (including Mewtwo) and the R-2 Mode (including Mewtwo), you are given a set of bonus stickers that you can access in the Gallery Mode. When you're on the Gallery main screen, press and hold L and R and move the Cursor to Print. If you keep the buttons pressed, the Print option will now change to Bonus. You will now have access to a set of 16 bonus "wallpaper" stickers from all the different modes that you can print out at "Snap" Stations.
Trade without a Second Transfer Pak
Put a box on the game, then put the Pokémon from a different game or the same one in the box. Then, go back to the lab and put the box back on the game that you are trading to, go to the box, and withdraw the Pokémon when you want or need it. Note: This also works with items.
Different Color Surfboards
Did you know that your Pikachu can affect your Surf? Well, if you use a Pikachu that can't say its name (From Red, Blue, or a Pikachu Traded From a Yellow Game Pack) the surfboard will be red. However, if you use a Pikachu that can say its name (Pikachu that you get in the beginning of Yellow) then the surfboard will be blue. Note: If you trade the Pikachu you get from Professor Oak to another Yellow game pack, it will not say its name, so it will have a red surfboard. This is what Pikachu Traded From a Yellow Game Pack means.
Get Amnesia Psyduck
Get all 151 Pokémon in the hall of fame.
Get Surfing Pikachu
Successfully complete the game.
For a talking Pikachu, you need to upload one from Pokémon Yellow. Rental, Red, and Blue versions will just be silent.
New Title Screen
Beat both the Gym Leader Castle and Stadium modes to change the title screen (in addition to the map mode). The new title shows Pikachu, Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur and Mewtwo.
Avoid Recoil Damage
If you use an attack that you know will kill the opposing Pokémon, but will hit you with the recoil, make sure that your Pokémon has at least 20 HP left. Use the attack and you will not suffer the recoil damage.
