Bonus Characters
Each of the following tasks will unlock one of four bonus characters:

1) Get an "A" rank on each level and track in the "Street Work" mode.
2) Get an "S" rank on each level and track in "Street Work" mode. (to get an "S" rank, you must get over 40,000 points)
3) Complete each level and track in "Time Attack" mode within the time limit.
4) Get a "Perfect" rank on each level and track in "Coin" mode.

Bonus Boards
Unlock all four bonus characters. Then at the board selection screen, press Up (x2), Down (x2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. Now the following four bonus boards, each with a special ability, will become available:
