Top Gun: Combat Zones Cheats & Tips

-Use your cannon at all times. Doing so will give you more score. If this isn't possible, use your rockets instead of missiles.
-The easiest way to blow someone out of the sky without missiles or rockets, first, select your target. Second, fly towards them and do whatever it takes to get on their 6. And last, blow him out of the sky.
-If you find yourself playing a game of air chicken with an opponenet, you can fire your cannon hopely to kill him first, or you can initiate the Air Brake Manuever.
To do this (if your controls are on Expert 2), hit your afterburners. While you are afterburning, hold your airbrakes. Then, pitch down and then up again.

Flying close to the ground causes the anti-aircraft guns to overshoot your plane. They cannot fire below a certain point due to the risk of hitting their own men.

Use the afterburners when you are close to the ground. Note: This will not work on BTROs or gunboats (it will just do damage).

On all levels that contain multiple aircraft bogies, the best solution is to wipe out all aircraft by flying low to the ground, then pulling up on the stick to get a missile lock to destroy them. Take one bogie out at a time, then fly back close to the ground and start the process all over again.
