Sonic Mega Collection Cheats & Tips

On Sonic 3 & Sonic 3 with Knuckles, on the angel island zone act 1&2 the bosses use fire attacks. Try to get a fire shield and don't lose it. The bosses can't attack you at all. This will work with other fire attacks too.

Instead of playing Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and Sonic 3D Blast 20 times for Blue Sphere there's another way. Have a save file of Phantasy Star Online Episodes I&II in your memory card.

Enter these at the password screen:
MUSEUM: Fight only bosses
MAGURO: Tone Deaf sounds
SUPERB: Very Hard difficulty
MIEMIE: See hidden Items
DOFEEL: Time attack
XXXXXX: Cancel all codes
ILOVEU: Level Select

To use all the Chaos Emeralds, collect at least 50 rings then press the jump button in midair.

level 4- red bean, a stone type bean, a yellow thing, and a yellow bean.

level 5- a stone type bean, 2 blue beans, and a purple bean.

frist pause the game press and hold b. This will cause sonic or knuckels to go slow but the time will stand still youll still get and lose rings NOTE: jump w/x not a. you'll get 50000pts. time bonus. This works on ALL of the Sonic games and you need to activate the debug mode for it to work.

Play Sonic 1 and Sonic 3D 20 times each

in sonic 3 ,or sonic 3 & knuckles, during gameplay press A+X. a crazy thing happens.
sonic tails or knuckles will do a dance or something,its freakin wierd.....:S

Sonic 1-
> Control Mode= Slow Motion/Time Stop
- At the title screen, press UP, X, DOWN, X, LEFT, X, RIGHT. A ring chime will sound if done correctly. Start the game, and pause it.
- Hold A to keep it running, use X to jump, but pressing B will restart the game.

> Debug Mode= Sprite Transformation
- At the title screen, enter the Control Mode code twice (with an X in between and at the end)! A ring chime between each will confirm success. Hold B while you press START.
- A activates it, B toggles between sprites, and X places them.

> Level Select= Selecting a Level
- At the title screen, press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT. Hold B while you press START to be escorted to the Level Select menu.

Sonic 2-
> Level Select= Selecting a Level
- In the options menu, play tracks 19, 65, 9, 17 in that order. A tune will sound if done correctly. Hold X while you press START. Hold B while you press START to be escorted to the Level Select menu.

> Debug Mode= Sprite Transformation
- In the Level Select menu, play tracks 1, 9, 9, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4 in that order. A tune will sound if done correctly. Hold B while selecting a level to enable the code.
- A activates it, B toggles between sprites, and X places them.

> Super Sonic= All Chaos Emeralds
- In the Level Select menu, play tracks 4, 1, 2, 6 in that order. The last track will indicate success. Hold B while selecting a level to enable the code.
- Collect 50 rings and Double Jump to turn into Super Sonic!

Sonic 3-
> Level Select= Selecting a Level
- Right when the Sega logo stops, quickly press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, UP, UP before Sonic jumps to the main screen. A ring chime will confirm success. Scroll down to Sound Test, which is the Level Select menu.

> Debug Mode= Sprite Transformation
- At the Level select menu, hold B while selecting a level to enable the code.

Start the game as you normally would. Get a Chaos Emerald, reset the game, and start the game from the
options menu. You will keep the emeralds you have gained so far each time you start from the options menu.

Play Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine 20 times

To unlock secret games, you have to kill a log.To kill a log, go to a game(Sonic 1, for exaple)and enter and exit 50 times.
Games:
Flicky(2 known ways):
1)Have an SA2:B save on your memory card
2)Kill the Dr.Robotnik's Mean bean machine log
Blue sphear(2 known ways):
1)Have a PSO save on you memory card
2)Kill the Sonic 3D blast game log
Sonic3 and Knuckles(1 known way):
1)Kill the Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic3 , and Sonic and Knuckles game logs
Knuckles in Sonic 2(1 known way):
1)Kill the Sonic Spinball game log

To select levels on Sonic 2 and Knuckles, do this cheat code at the screen:

Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right. You should hear the ring chime.

Here are all the ways known to get lives.

1) Locate a 1-Up. Duh!

2) Collect 100 rings.

3) Get 50,000 points. Every 50,000 points, you'll get an extra life.

4) In Sonic 3, get a Chaos Emerald during a special stage.

Sonic Spinball
Level Select- GOt to the options screen and press B, Down, A, Down, X, Down, B, A, Up, B, X, UP, A, X, UP. IF you do it correctly there will be a sound. Press B to start for level two, A and start for level 3 or X and start for level 4.

Sonic 3D Blast
Level Select- Head to the start screen and press A B Right B X Up Down B. Now start the game. Once you have done this you can skip levels by pausing and pressing B.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Debug Mode- In the level select screen play music trakcs 1 9 9 2 1 1 2 4. While holding B, select a stage until the level appears. The controls are as follows, B turns debug on and off, A switches objects, and X places objects.

Level Select- Go to the options menu and play the following songs in order. 19 65 9 17 You will hear a ring if you enter it correctly. Press X and than Start to return to the title screen. Now hold the B button to start the game. You will go to the level select screen.

Super Sonic- In the Level Select screen play music trakcs 4 1 2 6 in order. Start a game and collect 50 rings. Jump in the air with B and you will transform.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Control Mode- At the title screen press Up X Down X Left X Right. A ring will confirm you did it right. Start a game and pause. B will restet the game, A wil go in slow motion and X will make you go one frame at a time.

Debug Mode- Enter the same code as before but hold B as you press to start to begin the game. The controls are the same as in Debug mode for Sonic 2.

Level Select- At the title screen pres Up Down Left Right. A ring will sound. Now press B and Start. This will bring you to the level select menu.

Level Select
Go to Angel Island Act1 then jump on one of the vines right by the big ring and press left(x3) right(x3) up(x3).you should hear a ring sound.

Debug Mode
Go to mushroom hill Act1 keep going until you reach a pulley and press left (x3) right (x3) up (x3)then you should hear another ring sound, then pause the game, press B press up twice there should be a sound test, press start pick any level you want while holding B and start until it says the name of the level.

Climb as high as you can and glide to the right. This also works for Act 2.

These were put with n00bs in mind. Most of you will have worked these out but feel free to use them if you haven't!

Sonic 1
GHZ 2: To avoid the waterfall thing that propels Sonic along near the beginning of the level, let it carry you to the other side first and then run away, but come back and roll into it. Sonic will fall down & be underneath it, giving you a faster, alternate route through the level.

GHZ 3: Seen the embossed checkerboard shapes on the wall? They're breakable. While running, push down on the control stick and Sonic can bash through them by rolling.

Sonic 2
EHZ 1: After the two loops before the tunnel near the end of the level, spindash on the ramp upwards and head towards the wall, inside is a high up tunnel with a 1-Up.

CPZ 2: When rolling down the huge hill at the beginning of the level, shoot upwards and then go to the LEFT. Hidden there is a 1-Up.

Sonic 3
AIZ 1: Once you've gone up the big tree and seen the huge grenade thing, run along the tunnel and drop down the whole. Break the rocks to the left of you and there'll be a red spring, jump on it, and jump into the Big Ring. When you come out, the music will have changed.

MHZ 1: When you reach the very steep hill with the spikes, you need to use the platforms to get over it. Or do you? If you spindash and jump just before you hit the first spike, Sonic will fly upwards, saving you seconds.

CZ 2: The spinning cylinder can be defeated by jumping on it and tapping the pad down quickly.

In Sonic 1 to get all stages press up down left right then hold down A and press start.

Start a game with Sonic and run over to the Madmole near the Super Shoes power-up. Directly to the right of the Madmole is a pulley mechanism that takes you to the next level above by pushing Down on it. Instead of pushing down, push the Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up. Now press Start to pause the game and press B. You will be sent back to the main screen. When you can select between Sonic and Knuckles, hold B and press Start for a level select.

OK, how many of you need help for this? Right, tap down when you land from jumping, and if you do it right, you should end up at the bottom of the hole.

Go to the options screen and input the Super Sonic code. Now go straight to the multiplayer inside the options (go to the item box selection icon) and click that, and you should be able to play as Super Sonic in multiplayer.

Flicky- Saved Sonic Adventure Battle 2 memory card or Game log Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine 20 times.

Blue Sphere- Game log Sonic 1 and Sonic 3D 20 times each.

Sonic 2 + Knuckles- Game log Sonic 2 and Sonic Spinball 20 times each.

Sonic 3 + Knuckles- Game log Sonic 3 and Sonic + Knuckles 20 times each.

Ristar- Game log Blue Sphere, Flicky, Sonic 2 + Knuckles, and Sonic 3 + Knuckles 30 times each.

(Japanese Verison ONLY)

The Comix Zone- At the manual screen, press Z, Z, Z, UP, UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, L, R, Z.

The Ooze- At the opitions mode, UP, L, DOWN, R, UP, Z, DOWN, L, UP, R, DOWN, Z.

Create levels (S1)- Enable Debug Mode & Level Select. Go to Marble Zone Act 3 & go straight to the boss. Now turn back to Sonic (make sure you are above the floor & lava) then turn back and you should be able to go under here and create a
level using certain blocks...

Running glitches (S2,S&K,S3&K)- If Sonic is running fast on Sonic 2 then Tails may walk in the air after you. And in any game with Knuckles except Sonic 2, at the end of the second part of a stage jump on top of the yellow part and fall off so you are facing it, but not actually on it. Knuckles should run on the spot instead of his celebration pose.

First of all, activate level select and debug mode. (See "Cheat Codes for Well Known Sonic Games" for more details). Then, start at any level, any act. At the beginning of the level, turn into a teleportation box. Place it over Tails, just about jumping height. Turn back into Sonic ON TOP OF THE BOX! Tails will jump, and if done correctly, the box will fall on him and he will die. While Tails is off of the screen, jump on the monitor (box) and you'll recognize the white flash...

What you won't recognize, is the fact that you can't be seen, you're flying through the air, with a killer view (not literally), and before you know it you're at the end of the level!

(Note: If you mess up on killing Tails, just push START + B to go to the title screen)
