Chapter 2, Samurai Goroh
If you are having trouble on this, here is a easy tip to help you. Practice on this map to get used to the way boulders fall. Try to stay on the RIGHT the entire time. Til you come to the last corner which is right infront of the finish. Go to the left almost on the side cause one rock might hit you. Boost like mad, hoping to not hit a boulder. But you should win by staying on the RIGHT side then switching the LEFT side at the end.

Also Samurai Goroh is invinsible. Basically it means he can boost whenever he wishes. However if he falls, he dies. If you want, it might be harder but it works. When you get close to him, try to be on his left side. Then do the side attack (look in the manual if you don't know) to knock him off the side. Then when rocks come down, Air Brake (B) and watch the rocks fall and just go slowly... Then improve your time later.

Story Mode - First three
In story mode, you'll begin with a simple prologue. After seeing the prologue, you'll unlock the First playable chapter: Captain Falcon Trains. This level is a simple course that features no real obstacles, but requires you to collect 25 tokens and race a total of three laps before the time runs out. Upon the completion of this task, two things will happen: One, is that a harder difficulty will become available ( at no extra cost ). 2nd, you will be able to purchase the next chapter in the F-Zero Shop.

After purchasing the second chapter, it will be open for play. This title ( Goroh, the vengeful samurai ), is a bit more of a challenge... It's a one-way course that features boulders, which will try to veer you off-course. The task itself, is to defeat Samurai Goroh in this one-lap race ( although, it isn't really a "lap" as much as it is a line ). One suggestion: Save your boosting for the very end, when you'll need it most. Avoid the boulders and you'll be fine.

After the second chapter is done, the third chapter will be available in the F-Zero shop for a slightly higher price than the second. This third chapter ( High stakes in Mute City ) is more of a race than any others. It features twelve pilots ( yourself included ) and a course filled with 90 degree turns. This course is considered by many to be the most difficult, but with the right strategy, it's actually quite simple. All that's required for success is that you use the L-R bottons for turning, particullarly on the last few turns. On the last lap, after the second last jump plate, boost until the very end, otherwise you'll loose.

And with that, the first three chapters in story mode are done!

Defeating Samurai Goroh In Story Mode
To defeat Samurai Goroh in Story Mode Chapter 2 (Goroh - The Vengeful Samurai), first set the Blue Falcon's Acceleration/Maximum Speed Balance as far left as it will go, for maximum Acceleration. Now, carefully follow these instructions.

When you begin the race, get up to speed and Boost once. From now on, Snake through the Track, using carefully-timed Boosts to get ahead of Goroh. Avoid the boulders in the first boulder section and Snake down the long left bend.

After the next long almost loop-shaped section, STOP SNAKING. Try to stay as close to the left side of the Track as possible to avoid the boulders. When you are past them and onto an area which you may find has no road surface on it, Snake and use whatever Boost Energy you have remaining.

Diamond Cup - Additional Spare Machines
Having trouble with the Diamond Cup? Here is a technique which will earn you as many Spare Machines as you want.

The first Course of the Diamond Cup is Cosmo Terminal: Trident, a long Course which is perfect for destroying other Machines on it. Set your Machine to whatever you wish, but I personally prefer to set it to Maximum Speed for this Course. In the Race, aim to destroy as many other Machines as you can on the first Lap. On the second and third Laps, the ability to Boost will make them more difficult to hit and will make your Machine more difficult to control.

You're aiming for ten destroyed Machines. Continue if you want, but ensure that you kill yourself before the end of the Race. You began with one Spare Machine. Every five times you destroy another Machine gives you an additional Spare Machine. So, if you destroyed ten Machines:

(1 + 2) - 1 = 2.

That means that you now have one more Spare Machine than you began with! Continue to repeat this process until you have the desired number of Spare Machines.

Personally, I think that the Iron Tiger (piloted by Baba) is the best Pilot-Exclusive Machine for this technique.

How To Make The Entire Game Easier!
This may only work in the PAL Version of the game, but I am not certain.

For this to work, you must have a television set which supports both 50HZ Mode and 60HZ Mode. The game is supposed to run in 60HZ Mode on such television sets.

However, you can use this to your advantage. Set the Display Mode to 50HZ when prompted. The entire game (possibly excluding FMVs) will now move at a slower speed, giving you more time to react to what is happening in the game and also making tight turns and Snaking significantly easier.

Huge Boost
To get up to 2000 km/p, you must have booster equipped. Once you get to a booster thats on the track, use boost right when your racer speeds over the booster. This takes practice and a steady eye, so try to keep up.

First, use your manual booster. Then release the accelaration until you hit the track booster. If you've done it correctly (in about 1-2 seconds) you should get up to 2000 km/p. To go even faster, use your booster repeatibly.

Snaking
To use the snake technique, select a heavy car with a high grip rating A like Black Shadow's Black Bull, then set it to max. acceleration. By alternating L and R and turning left and right at the same time, players then drive serpentines and essentially simulate turns on a straightway. But don't just press the buttons in a frenzy, but instead practice it a lot and try to be more calm when executing this technique. Turn left while holding L, then turn right while holding R after you've performed a visible turn. You'll do best on straight wide tracks. Snaking will probably be most welcome in Time Attacks, since any touch from a competing racer will end the technique and it's a perfect way to get revenge on the Staff Ghosts

Space Diving
First you need a very light machine. Put your setting at max acceleration. If you can't get up in the air by crashing into the rail then Just fall off anywhere you can. Now hold left + L, or right + R, do NOT pull back on the stick like you would in an airplane, or your engine will stall. As you continue to hold left and L, or right and R, you'll trace a tight circle going higher and higher. To move around, fly a half circle left, then a half cirle right. It looks really weird for some reason, it's kind of like your machine is actually flying backwards. On many tracks you'll get retired if you fly around the wrong areas. I would recomend Port Town: Aero Dive for playing around with flying because it appears that you can fly anywhere without getting retired.
Note: This technique does not work for all machines on all versions of the game.

Surface Slide Secrets
For the observant racers among you, the Sand Ocean: Surface Slide course features a couple of hidden features for you to look out for.

The first is on the straight section before the entrance to the temple. Around five seconds after the beginning of the race, a large dust cloud will blow in from the dust devils (sand tornadoes) on either side of the track. This dust cloud will then go from being an innocent dust cloud to actually forming the shape of a snake's head. You can watch this either from the section of the track where it happens or from the top of the jump just before it.

The second secret comes in the form of the creatures which appear after the twisting section after the temple. On the first lap, it appears that there are only birds there. On the second lap, there will be birds and fish-like creatures which will jump out of the sand there. On the third lap, an enormous sand snake appears and leaps through the air, before crashing back down into the sand. This could actually be a cameo of Molgera from The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
