Dokapon Cheats & Tips

after beating Laboss at the mountain level, you will return to town. Talk with either the bar tender or the old man (i cant remember who gives you what) to recieve the X-metal (it's like the rere arm but apparently more powerful). Head to the old couple's house. go to the room with the three treasure chests(you should be able to open them all now). In one of the chests is a second X-metal. Have the blacksmith combine them (i dont remember how much it costs). He will make the dokapon sword. To get the last two swords you have to combine two dokapons to get the D-sword(powerful but slow and has an unwanted ability). combine two D-swords to get the strongest weapon in the game,the bloody sword.
It's stats are like the D-sword's but higher, it also has an annoying ability.

If you want my advice, combine the bloody sword with however many weapons it takes to create a flare sword. after that try to get an S-sword.

(IMPORTANT:there are two kinds of S-swords. one of them is much stronger, they just have the exact same name)

An easier way of getting one is to steal it from Valts, who appears at the top at the mountain after you defeat Laboss there. when you get one combine it with the flare sword from earlier and they will form a dokapon sword. The reason you want to do this is because you can have the raw power of the bloody sword put into the much-speedier dokapon. If that isnt enough to convince you, the dokapon's ability revives you one time in battle, and the bloody sword doesn't have a useful ability like that.

From the beginning to the end of the game, you want to keep a bow (or any other weapon with the X-ray ability; bows are just easier to come by) because you can enter a dungeon, equip the bow, check the map (which will now be completely revealed), and replace the bow with your weapon of choice.

This will make the larger dungeons much easier.

To catch a monster you must purchase a trapper. Then take the trapper to anywhere but town and set it up. then wait untill the trap has caught a monster and u will find that out cuz the monster will be spinning around and then u fight it and if u win u it will become ur partner!

This one is simple, it just takes a little time to get there. On floor 100 of newland there is a small room with a talking evo (little demon thingy). If you talk to him he will be impressed on your progress in the dungeon and generously give you all of the hidden costumes. They are the pierrot, pirate, kiwi, and devil costumes.

Do you know about the un-equippable Phantom equipment? supposedly they spell DOKAPON, but there is a hidden one called the Rere Arm. Combine two of the phantom equipment (only the ones that combine with weapons) to get it.

It does the same thing as the others. I combined a godfang with it and got a buster sword, which is the strongest sword I have ever seen in the game.
