If you are doing time trial mode to get medals this can come in handy!
If you see a cliff the you need to draw a line to get up, make the line a looptyloop. You will dash through the loop and get a power boost. But for a long flat run, I suggest just touching Kirby over and over.
If your kirby is falling, draw a circle around him and he wont be affected by wind and wil go in a circle like a Ferris Wheel.
If you are dieing to much then this tip will help you a bit.
First get nine medals.
Second go to the Metal Swap Place.
Third go to the first box with the number 9 on it and put the mteals in to win the extra hit!
[Mod Edit] Additional: There is more than one box that gives an extra life piece.
To unlock the 5th character, you need to insert the GBA game Kirby and the Amazing Mirror into the DS and load up your save file on Kirby DS.
A message will then pop-up and the character will become available.
You can also get the character by completing the final level whilst having the game Kirby's Nightmare In Dream Land inserted in the GBA slot in the Nintendo DS.
At the end of each level is a jumping minigame. If you go the farthest you can (A little over 3300) you will get 900 stars which will give you 9 extra lives.
When you pick up a powerup that lets Kirby hover, such as Beam or Spark, hold Kirby in midair by pressing him with the stylus. He will hover until the stylus is removed, and the paint supply recharges while he hovers. This is useful for when Kirby is too high in the air to recharge normally.
IF you beat the game will all 5 characters you will unlock the Jump minigame in the Main Menu screen. There are Medals to be found within this minigame, so make sure you get good at it.
If you go to the level select screen, and turn to a level you haven't gotten yet, the top screen will show an expression on Kirby's face. It changes when you scroll to a level you do have and then back. Itmight be different.
When you want a spin boost when you have a power, just draw a complete loop-de-loop to give him speed. __0__
Just insert kirby: amazing mirror or kirby: nightmare in dreamland, turn on the game and it will say you can play with the ball. Easy!
Waddle Dee - Beat the game once
He is exactly the same as Kirby except for the fact that he has four life, is a bit lighter, and cannot obtain powers.
King Dee Dee - Purchase for 20 medals once you have Waddle Dee
He is large, strong, heavy, sinks in water, wind has less of an affect on him, has 7 life, and swings his hammer when you touch him. If you hold the stylus on him, he will continue to swing his hammer. He cannot get powers.
Metaknight - Purchase for 25 medals once you have King Dee Dee
Nearly twice as fast as Kirby and cannot get powers, but he only has 3 life
Waddle Doo - Complete the game with all four of the other characters.
He has 5 health, is Kirby's weight, and has a perpetual Beam ability, touch him to use it. If you hold your stylus on him, the beam will continuously spin around him.
