Featuring a newly introduced anti-gravity system which allows karts to transform into hoverkarts, Mario and friends can now twist and turn with tracks as they flip over onto themselves. With 32 tracks, 16 new and 16 updated from previous iterations of Mario Kart, no player will master all courses without going above and beyond normal expectations. With anti-gravity and returning features like flying, swimming and gigantic leaps, players will need all the luck they can get.
Mario Kart 8 also features a robust online multiplayer mode, or at least robust by Nintendo standards. Online multiplayer is supported for up to twelve players, playable with friends and strangers across the world. Oh, and you can chat with those people before and after matches as well. If normal races aren't enough, players can customize their own tourneys and tournaments, replete with their own rulesets and schedules. That way your victory can live on forever.
With 30 to choose from, everyone can pick up and enjoy Mario Kart 8. That's kind of the point. Just don't even bother looking into the Battle Mode unless you want to be very disappointed.
