THE GOOD: For the SNES, the graphics and music aren't that bad
THE BAD: Not much
SUMMARY: In F-Zero, you can choose from four different little race thingies (I don't know what exactly to call them). You can race against other thingies in the Grand Prix, which has a couple of difficulty levels or you can just practice in (mostly) any track you feel like. The harder levelled races are challenging some times. The graphics are good (for the SNES, anyway) and the music's good, too. The tracks you race in are cool. In one area, it's windy, so it's hard to controll the little racer thingy, and in others you have to jump across some gap thingy or your little racer will explode. It's fun to watch them explode. This game's pretty fun ,but if you have a Game Cube, it'd be better to just get F-Zero GX instead.
THE GOOD: Amazing Graphics considering the console! Brilliant Gameplay! Almost Everything Else!
THE BAD: Nothing, really!
SUMMARY: This game has me in a state of complete and utter disbelief. It's like waking up one morning to find that the Moon has exploded - you're really seeing it, but it's virtually impossible to believe!
The game's Graphics are incredibly detailed, and their numerous Sprite phases give the impression that a very early form of Polygons are actually being used! The four Pilots are very well-created, and the game handles like a dream!
The amazing track system allows for 360-degree rotation in the tracks, which gives an effect never before witnessed in a video-game!
If you own a SNES, I suggest that you buy a copy of this game as soon as possible!
THE GOOD: It's still the fastest game on the SNES, Great fun while it lasts.
THE BAD: There isn't much to do. It's a little short.
SUMMARY: F-Zero is a really great game on the SNES and in my opinion the second best racing game on this console too but it lacks in a few areas. There is no multi-player so you have to play by yourself which can get a little boring after a while. The graphics are pretty good considering your currently pushing fowards at what seems a high velocity. The music is really good and classic. There arn't very many racers to choose from and there isn't very many lvels you can pick from, making it even shorter.
Overall it's a really good game though, it'snot that long but lots of fun while it lasts and you can always try beating your old top times.
THE BAD: Only 4 machines to race with. Limited variety of tracks. No multiplayer option.
SUMMARY: The original F-Zero title was fast in it's time, but really pales now in comparison to X and GX. It features the original 4 racers (Blue Falcon, Golden Fox, Wild Goose, Fire Stingray) and a selection of roughly 15 tracks to race on. The graphics are good and there's a real sense of speed. The tracks also feature obstacles like mines, magnets, and jump plates, plus you can't just boost anytime you want like in later titles, so this game emphasizes skill as well as speed. Additionally, if you're not in a certain position after each lap, you're eliminated too! Some tracks also factor in mother nature's elements too, lacking in later titles. The game also doesn't really have a multiplayer mode either-just a few racing modes for one player. While only 2 players would've been supported anyway, it would have been nice to have that option anyway. The onl...
