Can sometimes be annoying
Ahh, DragonVale. A great game enjoyed by many across the globe.
DragonVale is an iOS and Android game made by BackFlip Studios, and is actually one of the most addictive (I think) games like this, currently on the app store. When I said, "games like this", I mean games like Hay Day, Tiny Monsters, Dragon City, etc. -For a free game.- Look at it, look how many videos and tutorial posts and other stuff there is on YouTube and the internet.
DragonVale requires an internet connection because of its social section. The social section of this game allows you to interact with your Facebook and Game Center friends (that have this game). You can visit each other, get party hats and gift people gems. Also, once you reach level 10 you can enter 'Friend/Referral Codes', which give the person who entered the code 25 gems, and the owner of the code the amount of gems based on what level the person who enters the code is. The amount of requests for people to add certain peoples codes, or people lying that you will get more than 25 gems if you put in a certain code, but I can assure you, that you can only get 25 gems from ALL REFERRAL codes. Promotional codes on the other hand, vary in what you get.
You start off with a basic island, with nothing but a barren island, except for the Nursery, and over time, you slowly create a paradise for dragons and wizards alike. From sun dragons, to apocalypse dragons, from rainbow to air. It all starts with 3 beginning, and the most basic dragons. Plant, Fire and Earth. Then, once you've got those you can start with getting the good dragons. Poison and Flower are a good place to start. There are lots of places you can test to see what makes what, and how to make certain dragons.
Once you start leveling up, and earning a reasonable income, you can get better and bigger dragons, start breeding dragons and buying new islands. Racing and using the Colosseum can also help you along the way, and they are buy-able at level 10+. There are sometimes events, like the Bring 'Em Back Event, which ended on the 12th January 2014. Overtime, you can get Kairos, the Fountain of Youth, Shrines, and all of those add a whole new aspect to the game.
There are references to other games, movies etc in this game, like this reference to Doctor Who, found in the Kairos dragon summoning part 3, saying - Holding a ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.
You can also display dragons if you really want to, but otherwise you can sell them if you have duplicates. Some sell from 50 DragonCash, to over 100,000 DragonCash. Sadly none sell in Gems... Well, not that I know of.
What are you waiting for? Go and download this WONDERFUL app and become the best dragon owner ever!
