THE GOOD: Superb detail in managing your club in every way. THE BAD: The 3D Match Engine sucks. It's appalling. The PC version has a great text mode which is really realistic, so where is it on XBox? SUMMARY: Unitl you get onto the pitch, this game is the king of managing games. It's superbly detailed and very realistic. I was amazed when I first played this game at the intricate little things that make the difference, like talking to your players or organizing events for your team. However, rather than using a 'text mode' match engine like all other managing games it uses a 3D Match engine which is rubbish. On PC you get a choice, but not on the super powerful XBox! How does that work?
Football fusion is good however, but all in all this game is simply not playable. If you want to play this game without your players getting sent off and without using Football Fusion to control them yourself, you have to press 'Quick Result'. This simply gives you a list of the players who scored and who got cards and subs etc. Suddenly all the detail is lost. What is the point of having THE most realistic footballing game, if you can't really play matches properly? |
