THE GOOD:
The Career mode is awesome
The Clothes are so varied they have a great line of choice
The Game goes so smoothly
The Sound is perfect it suits
When overseas they speak the Native Language

THE BAD:
Career too easy, you will be able to finish it really quickly
There are not enough characters too choose.
The Loading times for when buying Clothing takes a bit too long, so when I tried buying all the clothes it took ages.

SUMMARY:
This is the best tennis game I have ever played, it is the most revolutionary and makes the most of the Graphics of the Xbox.
The Career is great, starting out with an unknown going up the ranks, to take on the greatest players ever.
There are many tournaments to choose, but they don't have the real names so the Australian Open would be called the Melbourne Hardcourt Open.
There are few characters such as Sampras, Hewitt and Grosjean just to name a few, but...

THE GOOD:
really good graphics,pretty good audio, ok character modeling, lots of modes like the double and singles, the career mode is good also!

THE BAD:
lots of loading!!!! i spent half an hour playing 90% loading!! And after all it's tennis people!! Nobody likes tennis not even Venus Williams!!!!

SUMMARY:
Hey guys just got some new games to review and i got Top Spin! This game is ok. People say it's the best tennis game for the x-box i say it's average. The making a new player is kinda weird. You have"DNA" for youre player and you only get some dna! The gameplay is just...boring for me! All you do is hit a green ball they hit it back and so on and so on! Overall it's pretty good but at the end of the day it's just tennis!
It could be so fun and better but i guess they can't do that now can they?

i really like this game, it is a great game freatureing 16 great players and on line thingy. i really like the gameplay and the sounds and graphics of this agame and i recommend this game to all tennis and sporting fans out there.

Developing skills can get difficult. But, that is what makes it real.

SUMMARY:
The real game of tennis, I don't like. Top Spin, I do like. I am not that much of a sports video game enthusiast. However, I will say that Top Spin takes the cake of the sports games. This game has never a dull moment. Starting a career can be very challenging and appears to delve into the reality of a true professional tennis player. Virtually, this game reminds me of the old "Pong" which was, not only the first video game, but based on the actual game of tennis. The cool thing is, that you are not just playing with paddles, but actual people holding paddles whom can have temper tantrums.
I would recommend renting it to check it out, and then adding it to your video game collection if you get hooked (which you will).

Virtua Tennis on the DreamCast is said to be the best Tennis game ever. I can't truly comment because I have never played it. Only tennis game I've played was Mario Tennis, which you should read my review on (cheap plug!). How will Top Spin rate?

Gameplay: 8/10

I'm just going to start off the review with the Career mode. Which most gamers will spend 75% of their time playing. When you select this mode, you get to either create a new tennis player that's either male or female. You then pick their "DNA Strand" which will be their skin tone. After selecting those two parts, that's where the fun begins. In Top Spin, we were given the opportunity to create our player in extreme detail. I'm talking about eyebrows, cheeks, the jaw, the nose, the bodyweight, and anything you can almost think of. Everything except the eyes. THE GOOD:
Pretty much everything, shots, angles, characters, tournaments, sounds, and reactions are all top notch

THE BAD:
Sometimes you will hit a weak shot when you should hit a hard ground stroke and there could be more real pros

SUMMARY:
Quite simply this is the best tennis game ever made. It is fun to play alone or with friends but on LIVE it is quite possibly the best sports title to date. It is XSN which means that detailed stats, tournaments, and leagues will be out for it in the future(I've heard Nov 15th as the start date). This poster has only had 2 matches out of 40 that had any problems and they were minimal at best. If someone can't take the heat on LIVE and wants to quit they get the loss so it seems fair in that regard. Even if you hate tennis you will like this game and that is something that no tennis game has ever been able to claim before. What are you waiting for, go out and buy or rent...

THE GOOD:
Career Mode, XBOX Online, Controls, Gameplay, Graphics, Pretty Much Everything.

THE BAD:
Lack of top notch tennis pros, No liscensed tournaments such a the US Open or Wimbeldon.

SUMMARY:
This is without a doubt the best tennis game I have ever played, and I think I have played them all. The career mode is the best part of this game. You start out with a racket and clothes, and play to win money, sponserships from companies like adidas, and the number one ranking in the world. You can use your money to buy things like better clothes and rackets, shoes, and training.

The controls are great, Graphics are solid, and it is just a really fun game to play.

I would have probably given this game a 5 out of 5 if it had top players such as Roddick and Agassi in the game. It does have Pete Sampras in the game though, and you can create your favorite player and put them in the game.
