Tony Hawk's Underground

THE GOOD:
I liked the bigger better parks, they really got creative with the use of all the gaps they had in there.

THE BAD:
The story part of the game was kind of annoying, but in all there were hardly any bad things about the game.

SUMMARY:
I recommend atleast renting this game, if you a true Tony Hawk fan then buy the damn game, lol. I think anybody of any skill level can master this game with time and effort. Also I liked how there were not that many cheats, but to get more you had to achieve goals to do it. I do think that the game should have included more challenging goals to finish the story mode. Once I finished I was like man I was hoping it would be a longer game. It seemed that it was fairly easy to beat the story mode on any level,IMO. But in all due respect this is a major upgrade from the first 4 Tony Hawks, but I would watch out cuzz the next one should be freaking reality!!

THE GOOD:
The skating is smooth and I love the way you can get off your board and drive cars and stuff.

THE BAD:
The graphics could be better...

SUMMARY:
The Tony Hawk franchise has adapted some GTA III techniques, with the new features like getting off your board. People who loved the old Tony Hawk games might be let down. Instead of skating as pros (which you can do in multiplayer) you skate as a local nobody who's dream is to become the next best skater. I liked the story mode but some might. If you're looking for a change this is a great game. The game has been polished and some of the levels are huge. The Tony franchise has really expanded since the first game. Instead of collecting the letters of S-K-A-T-E you might have to deliver nuts to security guards so you can get into some building. I think this game has changed for the better.

THE GOOD:

For fans of THPS,this is great.You got through the life of a pro skater as a kid in NJ.Borad,combo,and cloth edits are sweet,and so are the graphics.There are foot missions,and trick missions.Warning;NO TAPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hallelouya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Instead,you have to do little missions and skate.You can even pic your own sponcer.Get this,and call Birdhouse and say that TH should come and meet you!!!!!!Seriously though,buy this,not rent.There are even drug dealers that you battle.Its great.Sound track has rock,pop,and heavy metal,and Kiss!!!!!!!Trust the vampire;BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUMMARY:
More and more games are letting you roam free around the game. Most of them are pretty good; this is one of those games. In traditional Tony Hawk style you are a skateboarder. You pull off tricks, improve your stats, so on. But where this game really shines is your ability to roam free. You can go to stripclubs, hang onto cars, and access other areas which you might not be able to do on a skateboard. There is also a create-a-skater mode and that's always good. Custom soundtracks, followable storyline and the kind of graphics you would expect from sloppy seconds from the PS2 make this a quite capable Tony Hawk game, but just the addition of being able to get off your skateboard and roam. Beautiful. Most of all I like games with cheats. I like them alot, as I am not the most adept video game...

There is no big difference between this game and the other THPS games. I like the create a trick and park they give some depth to the game. Also the Create a Deck is good to but i hoped for more icons for my boards. The voice acting in the game isnt that great and if my character is a girl why does everyone call her man and why does she have to do a mission in which she has to impress chicks? of course only a perfectionest like myself would be bothered by these minor flaws. also for all the effort (if thats what u want to call it) for beating the story we get a entire level devoted to KISS. I like Kiss but why would you devote a whole level to a 70's rock band that ur new generation might have no clue who they are? maybe get ur parents to play it they may have a blast watching them dance around on stage and drool over the 1 minuete video that is just a clip of a concert of a song that i dont like. too bad it wasnt I Want To Rock and Roll All Night and Party Everyday. Ok all in all i thought this was a pretty sweet game except that ,,, when u get in the cars i thought it was rather dissapointng that the cars sucked so bad ,,, i would have liked to have seen cooler cars ,,, to go with all the kool things about this game i thought that the graphics were pretty sweet (for a console that is) but it was a pleasnt surprise to have a tony hawk game that didnt suck ,,, i was pleased with the final results of this game Nice Job Neversoft !
