THE BAD:
-innacurate bruising
-bland characters
-cheesy taunts
-bad camera angles
SUMMARY:
Tao Feng. modeled after mortal kombat, but just didn't cut it. sure, TF had limb damage, which is unique, and bruising, but they tended to be off. for ex.I defeated a guy with dropping him on his head, and he got a bruise on his arm. I hit the left arm, the right one breaks. if you play it long enough, you can usually guess where the bruise will appear, and what limb gets broken, because it never changes for that character. I think it is neat that the entire enviroment is interactive, but it is nothing new. the characters are bland ex.firey phoenix. nuff said. the taunts are cheesy ex. are you ready to burn? the camera angles are bad, because there isn't a block button, so you have to move back to block, and sometimes the camera switches sides at the worst...
THE BAD:
This game is also difficult to learn because it is combo based . . . the majority of my time in the beginning was spent on training to get accustomed to each character, (this is both good and bad).
SUMMARY:
I enjoy this game, I feel it is more detailed than Mortal Kombat and maybe if there is a second edition in the series the interactive backgrounds and limb damage system will be beefed up and more effective. I feel it is a must have for those who love the fighting genre, but it may be lost on those not immersed in the "fighting world".
Parents will be particularly happy because...
