THE BAD:
Not much, though there are some very noticeable glitches- The main one in my view being against the last boss, when i consistently got trapped on a piece of fallen gate. Since this game is action oriented, it may not be enjoyed by all people.(Good you read the review, yes?)
SUMMARY:
This game is the best i have played for a while- the endless gore, good main character (is he crazy, is he not?), and as already the character design is second to none. The game also has many nice effects,...
THE BAD:
Kinda easy, kinda short, kinda weak enemy AI at times
SUMMARY:
Let me start out by saying I love this game. I've beaten it some 7 times now, and I'm rolling through it again. It's moody, atmospheric, tense, and action packed. For those who want a break from the "average" horror game like Resident Evil or Silent Hill, this is the game for you.
The premise of the game is, you play as Torque, a prison inmate sentenced to die at Abbott Correctional Facility, a fictional prison on the fictional island of Carnate, off the coast of Maryland. You don't remember a thing about your crime other than that it happened and you were convicted of it -- whether or not you actually did the crime is revealed at the end of the game, depending on how the player makes choices (standard "good/bad" fare - help NPCs, kill...
THE BAD:
*only one thing... needs a few more weapons
SUMMARY:
This game was so good, it kept me on my seat for hours upon hours. The combat in this game may not top the matrix, but it sure as hell nailed that same 30 seconds of fun halo did. You may think that is a bad thing, but no, this game is remarkably fun from exploring the odd buildings, enemies and past of carnate down to the horrific history of executions here.
Many games have tried to make an origional horror/survival game. But none other than Resident evil have come this close. But personally, I prefer this over cleche zombies. Who wants to shoot something that you have seen more than a thousand times, well I'm sure you...
THE BAD:
- Can Get Slightly Repetitive
SUMMARY:
Gameplay: Very fun to play. Fast paced shooting with some boss fights and puzzles to mix it up. You can switch from first and third person views on the fly. All the blood and gore make killing enemies very satisfying. Each enemy has their own unique attacks and you have to use a different strategy for each of them. There's people along the way you can either help, or if you're an evil bastard, kill along the way, and this has an effect on which ending you get. If you play for too long at a time it can get slightly repetitive though.
Graphics: Very good. The art direction is...
THE BAD:
Choppy graphics and cutscenes, aiming can be difficult, little too short, little replay value
SUMMARY:
This game pretty much has it all, Blood, Swearing, Tough badass character, extremeley gruesom monsters, eearie environments, and above all else, one hell of a freaky plot.
within minutes, you will be covered head to toe in blood and gore, and will hear at least 10 F words. Death comes in a very creative fashion in this game, some guys die by lacerations of metal blades by a psychotic doctor who appears in only TV screens shown from cameras set around...
THE BAD:
Little too similar to Silent Hill, game contains excessive swearing (could be a good thing depending on how you look at it), Puzzles are fairly simple
SUMMARY:
Leave it to Midway to break the next tolerance barrier in gaming. Playing the role of a new inmate on deathrow, you're placed in a prison that goes beserk with ghosts and psychopathic events that cannot fully be explained. The Suffering is great in many aspects of gameplay and the story will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire game. The Suffering is a much faster paced game than similar titles like Silent Hill. It also implores all the gore but fewer puzzles with and replaces that with more monsters to fight, making it more...
